So because Canada tries to make sure children aren't abducted that's a bad thing? You have sole custody don't you? Will that paperwork do? Both my ex and I need a travel consent form to cross the border in EITHER direction. It's asked for by both the CBP and the CBSA.

They told me last time that the sole custody paperwork was not enough. I could give a ####### about child abductions when you seem to be able to take a kid anywhere else in the world.

If someone was really worried, they could put a flag on the passport.

That's terrible....

He is a terrible person.

We are doing the adoption this Spring so I guess it is just a short annoyance for now.

A travel document is the easiest thing to forge tho....

But you can be charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument....

He's given them to me before and he would again, but it is just a hassle and then he feels all good about himself for doing me favor.

Meh, worse things. Karma will get him one day. Like you said with the adoption it won't be an issue.

After the adoption, does your ex still have to pay child support?

Yes true. But some have more regrets than others. Some regrets are more profound than others

Why you ask? Thinking about divorcing?

No and he'll probably dance up and down the street for that alone.

He'll be full of regrets later in life.

He's a sociopath, so I kind of doubt that.
