I love Ren Faires! I've thought about applying to work at the one here in Georgia but it would mean every weekend between April and June and I know how worn out I get after one weekend - so I think I will just stick to getting dressed up and attending the Ren Faires on my schedule:-). My granddaughter is actually apprenticed as a bowyer with an archery 'store' that travels around to different Ren Festivals. I checked to see if she is at the Minnesota Ren Faire, but she was at the Wisconsin Faire in August and is now at one in Ohio. She absolutely loves it! She dresses like Merida on "Brave'

Kathryn, just do what I did and find a volunteer opportunity! Actually, I don't know if those are easy to come by?? I was thinking yesterday that I would totally sign up next year to work but then I completed two days and I'm absolutely shattered, so I think I'm like you. I'll volunteer again next year in full costume, but no way could I swing two months of that.

It was also really eye-opening to the service industry People are DEMANDING.

Good evening everyone

So....double chocolate cheesecake came out well, so did the carrot cupcakes with maple frosting and especially the while balsamic tart....everyone loved it at the party...weeeee was fun party. Talked to a lot of people, was great !! There was one annoying drunk guy who was slightly too close for comfort but I avoided him.

There was a lot of food and it was great great great ! Got back at midnight no left overs.

What else happened....I worked outside a bit, got on my bike, packed some more. Everyone leaving on Tuesday.

So you know what I find really irritating about Canada? These parental permission forms. I moved with my kid to Denmark, no one said a word in Iceland or in Denmark, but to go shopping in Canada, 40 minutes from my house, I need permission from the man whose never seen his kid?

So because Canada tries to make sure children aren't abducted that's a bad thing? You have sole custody don't you? Will that paperwork do? Both my ex and I need a travel consent form to cross the border in EITHER direction. It's asked for by both the CBP and the CBSA.

But hey I get how it's annoying only because I have to do it all the time. She needs special travel consent forms and I pay and extra $300 round trip for tickets when she travels alone.
