They should, since at least around here, the lunch choices are pretty terrible. Every week at least one day is taco in a bag or corn dogs. How are corn dogs healthy? Plus, here they serve nothing but milk. The little one is sick of milk and has been refusing it at milk break.

The schools around here won't let you pack a lunch. They want you to pay for the ####### they serve.

Lunch is included free in this school. Although the principals of NYC public schools are given a lot of power, and a budget. So they solicit a lot of donations. It's a "richer" school for an NYC public school. (I think because of the upper middle class neighborhood)

I'm quite happy with the school. After the orientations and class Dojo conversations. It's outright impressive for a public school. 3 blocks from my house. Only 400 students (Small by NYC standards) No wonder the Fooks all try to use other people's addresses to get into this school.

The fathers were invited to spend the morning in class with the kids last week, and I did.

27 kids in her class, 2 teachers, 2 paras.

Her teachers are given a lot of freedom in teaching, and she has elected to use the workshop model. I love it. (But I knew all this before sending her to this school)

I was on the fence about sending her to private school or a school that has a gifted and talented program.

But I think we've made the right choice so far.

I wasn't talking forced school lunches, I was talking about traffic cameras issuing tickets.

I loved school lunch as a kid. One thing I still miss from high school was pizza burgers. How the heck did they make those so good? only milk, what do they do for the lactose intolerant kids?
