so the company is having a retreat from wednesday to friday next week. the location is 3.5 hours away, we are supposed to ride in buses/coaches to get there, and it is pretty much in the middle of nowheresville.

need a good excuse to get out of it...

Good morning all.

MIL and FIL are staying in TN until tomorrow. I love how they drive to TN and VT (she won't drive) and she needs to go to TN and tells him lets go to TN (6 hours there and then 6 back) thats 2 days and then go to VT right away which is 12 hours all at once ? Yah sure why not...easy....especially with a car that is literally falling apart.....I am not ranting just don't get it.

I told FIL I was going to ask hubs for more money since well the deposit for an apartment would be 2k on its own and he just gave me this look like "my poor son, you take his money". I actually felt guilty despite the fact that I spent everything I had and lost the house back home to my sister.....no matter how rational I wanna be and I know I am entitled to some of his money which will never be as much as I spent by long shot. I feel like a b...ch. Like I should be able to take the hit because I made more money then he did (until I left my job and life and was without money for 2 years...). GRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

I drove ex hubs to the store yesterday, did well except that I took a wrong turn at some point and went "oh god I got no clue where I am going now" so he looks it up on his smart phone and tells me we are fine. So i get back and say " oh hey I did well, I am really proud" and he says "meh for the most part"....go f.. yourself, you don't even drive and I don't know my way around at all. At times like these I am glad I left him. He would just make me feel like a total failure even with the smallest things. Azz. (like getting really upset with me in the store because I did not put the divider between groceries...he seriously did not speak to me for about 3 hours).

Sorry all came rushing back this morning....not sure why. In other news. I am set to move out in a week when they leave monday. I won't even bother telling anything to MIL, I just really can't bring myself to say stuff. I will clean before I am gone but thats it. She won't even notice I was ever here. Done. She can keep the dog. I am tempted to take her tv that I bought and her dear son would not share costs for and then said "oh yes I bought it" but it was a gift so I won't, I will just take what she gave me...garlic press and grater.

omg and I realized yesterday what his post meant on FB. He said "Pardon me if I don't thank you for things I did not ask for". In his mind - since he specifically did not ask me to leave my job, or to clean or cook (he would say he is hungry but would not say "make me this or that" I just thought I love him so I am doing it for that reason so anyways) or spend all this money....he does not feel the responsibility or needs to thank me for it.

Yesterday (since we are both here) I asked if he wanted any dinner (I see it as a normal thing) and he says "oh I won't ask you to make it" as in....I can make it, he will eat it but won't say he wants it because then he would have to be thankful or have to show appreciation but then if i make it without him saying a word I cannot ask him for anything (like I cannot expect him to thank me for it since he did not specifically ask or say "yes I want that")

Good approach......
