when yer cooking, put on a pot of water to boil, throw in some dried pot pourri (sp?) and be at one with yer pregnant-self.

That really cuts down the options. I don't know of any that can't grow winter underfur if they are kept where winter happens. Some shed more than others, sure. I can fill up a 50 gallon garbage bag with any number of dogs each year. From pulling it off and brushing. I used to keep it. But since I never learned how to weave it I ended up just throwing the stuff out.

Both will grow a slightly thicker coat and will shed but the amount of hair from a dog like that is very minimal compared to a GSD or retreiver, etc... plus this is CO not Alaska. We know full well it limits our options which is the point. I want a dog that is inside and I do not want hair on everything. I do not want a poodle or poodle cross (I would never buy a crossbred anyhow.) I've trained and owned enough dogs to know what I want and hubs knows what he wants too.

I should add I've owned mostly crossbreds and mutts. They were all adopted or rescued. I wouldn't pay for one, but that's not the same as wouldn't own one.
