oh you're getting new dentures?

Heck I could just carve those myself. If its good enough for the father of our country, it should be good enough for any of us.

Just a cleaning and check up. I suspect a cavity, and I also have a broken molar, which will need a crown.

for a gold inlay, he said gold is better for molars, as they won't damage your upper teeth.

Well I'm not in NY, duh. Although I do expect it to be at least a grand.

The molar had a root canal, and I was supposed to get it crowned years ago. I just kept ignoring it because I hate the dentist. The wife is going to cost me a bundle. She's going later this week. She allowed some quack who called themselves a dentist to pull two teeth back in the Philippines. This was because she had a toothache from cavities in the teeth. This is causing her teeth to separate. She'll probably need a couple implants and braces to straighten everything out. BTW when I found out what my wife did, I had her go to a real dentist there. They fixed the rest of her teeth, but I didn't have the money to deal with the gaps at the time.

I'm leaving work early to go to the dentist today. I don't like going to the dentist. Maybe I need a drink of something stronger than coffee.

good luck. if they will numb you it won't matter no ? granted...first time I went...I was shaking like a leaf the entire time but I have dentist issues.

You used your hooker costume picture? Well no wonder you're getting date offers. Put a picture of your ex mother in law up, and see how many offers you get.

might be cheaper to fly her back to the Phils and have a decent dentist do the work there.

Actually its not much cheaper at the only decent dentist I know of in her city. At least after insurance its not that much cheaper when you factor in the cheapest ticket you can get is going to run about $1600.

The numbing doesn't work very well on me, I'm a bit immune to pain killers and what the dentists currently use to numb the teeth.

The big worry about aluminum wiring is how its terminated at the devices. If he finds the wires have been terminated at the switches and outlets using the quick connects, you'll want to go through them all to change the termination to the screw terminals. If they're already terminated on the screws, you should be fine. Its an easy fix, you just want to make sure you do it.

But, this should be something you can knock off the price for depending on a quote from an electrician. This article is old and the prices have probably gone up, but http://www.nytimes.com/2006/02/19/realestate/19home.html?_r=0

Our kitchen and a couple spots in our basement have aluminum (the rest is knob and tube) and we are having the aluminum replaced too. Just to give you an idea, our house, which is a one floor about 1400 sq ft with a completely exposed basement ceiling (so access to all wiring) and open attic is going to cost approximately 8-10k to rewire. Something to think about.

well, ok..... lets do some Tarklar Math™

1600 for ticket. 1000-2000 for dental work vs. 6-7000 dental work here

You get 3 birds with 1 stone, she gets to visit, and gets off your back + nice teeth.

You get a month of liberty.....

The market where Niki is is apparently super heated.

Chances are there are other buyers waiting with back up offers.

This leaves the seller in an "As is" position.

You can try to ask for a credit, but be prepared that the seller will refuse.

Okay will check!

So the break box is outside the house... is that weird to ANYONE else? Apparently it's normal here.

Are the breakers attached to the meters? And is there a big throw switch on them? and there should be another 1 or 2 breaker boxes in the house as well.

This set up sounds like a local fire code.

It was disclosed in both the ad and the disclosure paperwork that there was aluminium wiring. I know it's an issue if it goes copper to aluminum, like it does in the basement, but I don't think they'll take less for the house.

However, one did go on sale with even more upgrades and a bigger back yard (no trees tho) closer to hubs works for 15k less. Same size just different layout. So.. we'll see...

Oh, if it was disclosed then it is hard to have any room to negotiate. We were only able to get the money for grounding vs. complete rewiring because pretty much all the houses here need to be rewired.
