J you just triggered Tark to retell his "man walks into the pet shop and asks for Many cockroaches" joke.......

Oj nie nie nie -- that's for move-outs, and with bad Polish math besides. Our Commie-babe needs one for move-ins, see men and ma'ams:

---

The landlady was showing a prospective tenant a dingy room with badly spotted wallpaper. "This is a very nice room," she declared. "The last man who lived here was an inventor -- he invented some kind of explosive."

"I see, ma'am," said the prospective tenant. "And I suppose that the spots on the wall are the explosive?"

"No," corrected the landlady, "they're the inventor."

Preordered a snow blower....

Texas again Many, Nueva York zero and sinking from there, down the tubes man.

You don't remember your anniversary date? I bet your hubs loves that.

Equal Rights for chicas, see ma'am.

Me been married longest....

And sometimes the lifespan of any entity lingers beyond its usefulness or productivity, sigh man.

---

Off to watch late news, see news man.

A. jonas [...] said he will make some space in the master bedroom closet by next week

B. there are some things i draw the line at buying second hand:

1. shoes

2. bath towels

Many. sheets/bedding

just cant bring myself to do it.

A. Newlyweds and you have him whipped already, whee ma'am and sigh man.

B. 1. I've rarely found good shoes in resale shops; GSs & especially ESs are primo, whee man.

B. 2. I know the brands & styles to look for in resale shops & at GSs/ESs, experienced man.

B. Many. The only way to upgrade is at GSs/MSs/ESs, good eye man.

A few threads back, someone (Nola? Niki-Bone?) said that it would feel creepy to buy clothes or stuff at ESs, one-or-the-other she man. While acknowledging this as a feasible initial sense, I think that doing so is a win-win-win situation, Many win man:

1) The family of the departed is getting bucks (minus the cut from the ES outfit running the sale);

2) I/we/the buyer gets something satisfying to use, I/we/the man; and

Many) wearing clothes or shoes from an ES helps the departed to live on, eternal man. Last year, I went to an ES and determined from relics in the house that the departed was one Howard Mason, RIP man. From the looks of his clothes, he was a fine dresser, sharp man. I bought some (I think) Eddie Bauer jeans for just $Many, and they fit me perfectly, off-the-rack man. Every time I wore them, I silently said, "Thank you, Mr. Mason, si man."

Resale shops are all a matter of timing, be there when man. It ought to be a State Jail felony for anyone to donate a flat sheet without a fitted, and vice-versa, Miami Vice man. And it ought to be Federal law that only deep-pocket sheets are to be sold in the U.S., decree man.

After years of buying average-to-craappy sheets in retail stores for $Too Many, and seeing the obscene prices on towels, I belatedly wised up and have never regretted it, no man.

The chief obstacle is when ES outfits strap sheet sets together with tape, grrr man. This is understandable in a weak way, perhaps man, but people want to inspect their prospective purchases, see them man. Very recently, I passed on a couple of good-looking sheet sets because I couldn't get to the fitted pockets to see if they were deep, no buy man.

The sheets that got warshed today (Thread-Laundress report, man) were a newish queen flannel Many-piece (2+2) set bought at a GS for the grand total of $1, take that man.

most 'asians' not want to buy anything used, just saying.

The concept of GSs is alien to Ecu natives, in fact man. Once Mrs. T-B. got over her amazement at "so much Gringo stuff," she adapted rather quickly to the idea of GSs, assimilated she man. Mama-Mrs.-T-B. was speechless about the concept of GSs and resale stores, but adapted after a hesitant start, Ecu she ma'am.

2. New ones are pretty cheap

Many. Towels are things I like to spend decent money on

I like scratchy cheap sheets and can not stand the soft higher thread count ones. I know it is weird.

Almost all of my non-Ikea furniture is used, well antiques, that is. I have antique wash basins and pre-victorian bridal chests, etc. Even most of my plates and pots and everything have been hand me downs. Sometimes a lady wants new things.

1. i draw the line at socks and underwear. everything else I'll consider to purchase used.

2. for what's her face, must be new, but she discovered 'labels' and 'vintage' after we separated, is too late for that type o shopping fun.

1. (Where's the +Many button, huh man?) When the underwear is obviously new-from-package (= someone bought a Many-pack, tried one, and donated the unused other two), I'll snap them up if they're otherwise right, whee man. Have had equally bad luck with retail & resale socks, sigh man, so it never hurts to buy a resale pair for under a buck in case the gamble pays off, investment strategy man.

2. This is one reason why I finally abandoned the goal of compatibility with Steveklar's aforementioned Princesses, $he and $he and $he and $he and $he and $he and $he and $he sigh man.

It boils down to this, si men/ma'ams: Few of us would disagree with the reality that a new car plummets in value the minute it's driven off the lot, no man. Why would the same be untrue for lesser items, huh men/ma'ams?

1. I hate white walls. HATE.

White it's not a color

And it's like in hospital.

2. I used to have yellow, sunny walls in my old room.

It made me feel positive

1. Out of (honest estimate) Many (2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2 minus a few) dress-shirts in my closet, perhaps Many (2x2) are white, colored man. The only thing that white can do is let stuff show, such as dirt or pit-stains, gross man.

2. Yellow used to be the color of tuberculosis wards in hospitals, oj tak.

Every week/weekend he's buying something at GS... He has to have a mansion to have a room for all these stuff

"You think that I have a nice casa, oj tak? Aw, don't mansion it, oj nie."

As stated above, nearly everything is consumable, small, or an upgrade over stuff that gets donated, see ma'am.

This (the back & center parts of the foto, anyway) is what Mrs. T-B.'s kitchen rather looks like most of the time, sigh man... she blames having to entertain Mini-B. for this; I acknowledge that plus a bit of ADD, ADD she man.

What was interesting is how parts of it (relating to dishwarshing, not so much to clutter) runs in the family, Mama-Mrs.-T-B. and she man.

1. It's gross when people don't bother to WARSH them before donating them, good grief man. However, besides us thrifty types, cheap man, there are a lot of poor people for whom resale clothing means being able to buy more food, or buy food period, sigh man...

2. Making a note to myself to PM Niki-Bone to inform her of exactly the men's clothing packages to look for, and where to donate them locally to moi self, note and PM man. No, seriously, N-B. ma'am: great idea, si ma'am. Consider church or relief charities or homeless shelters, do ma'am.

1. I prefer this quality in pillowcases, interesting ma'am.

2. Is this a complaint or an expression of contentment, huh ma'am?

Many. The less this happened, the more compatible with the subject female I knew I was, she-or-no-she man.

"To she, or not to she; that was the expenditure..."

1. Maybe because it feels colder? I need to feel somewhat cold to sleep.

2. Maybe both. Furniture of that quality would cost me a fortune and of course, it was free, so I am content with that. I wish I has money to go buy nice new furniture, but why knock something 200 years old if it still works well? Can't knock quality. It is something I noticed differently between my husband and I's culture. WASP culture tends towards old houses, antique furniture, etc. Danish culture is more about new things. There are a precious few older houses left there and anything that would make you seem like your mother - furniture, clothes, etc. is frowned upon.

3, yes 3. Different mindset, I suppose.

Big snow dump.

We've had snow already. But now we're plowing. Seven months of snow to go. The four wheelers are put away. The snow machines are going. Plow truck maintenance is done.

Bring it on. lol. If we had money we'd leave for the Philppines.

Polish-math abomination de-abominated, aarrrgh man

1. Could be, si ma'am. Proficient thread-laundress that I am, I've found that thinner/scratchier pillowcases tend to be less odoriferous as the week progresses, sniff-test man.

2. "They don't make 'em like they used to, no man" is a phrase that's hung around for good reason, si man. The wild card is deterioration, always, endure or crumble man.

Big snow dump.

We've had snow already. But now we're plowing. Many months of snow to go. The Many wheelers are put away. The snow machines are going. Plow truck maintenance is done.

Keep it with you, plea man.

I usually don't buy anything used.

Sometimes some second hand clothes, but once a year or something...

Do they have GSs, MSs, or ESs in Poland, oj huh?

And would you marry a second-hand gringo, oj huh, or would you insist on new?

when I was a kid, pretty much all my clothes (including shoes, excepting underwear) was second hand.

Was any minute-hand or hour-hand, huh ma'am?

I wouldn't touch that room with Many foot pole

Are any of your countrymen even that tall, oj huh?

I am cooking a huge batch of cabbage

Sounds luscious

Sounds fartin'-good, Bro D man.

The Dane is the only one I've ever really taken pictures with and we have a lot.

When Mrs. T-B. isn't corraling me for her infernal fotos, and when Mini-B. tires of being recruited for same, she merrily continues fotoing herself, see she man.

save Many% off since I work at Target.

Big Lots had its half-of-half-a-year Many%-off sale today, whee man. As part of what was supposed to be a leisurely in-casa day, I read the newspaper and found out about it, change-of-plan man. Beat it down there and returned with Many bags of discounted items, stock up man.

To be precise, the expense at regular rate would have been $Many. Many, but the Many% discount enabled a savings of $Many. Many for a net total expense of merely $Many. Many, pleased-with-financial-acumen man.
