Bacon.

Ah. the smell of bacon. The enticement of the smell of bacon... The joy and wonderment of the smell of bacon....

Picture this, oh gentle reader - Monday morning I am walking across the bridge at my school, and all around is the smell of bacon. I'm thinking - Great ! the food truck finally got here early and is finished cooking (at 8:30 AM).... I walk over to the food truck, it's all closed down...

So, that enticement, that hint of, the rumour thereof.... ain't no bacon to be had. or products containing bacon.....

I was crushed.

Mostly, that set the tone of my day....

I had not heard from my wife over the weekend - we were to meet up and go over the divorce documents. Around 1:15 PM I got a call from an attorney, asking for my address. I asked, why? Then she explained she represents my wife, and needs my address to file a waiver of appearance, listing me as a defendant/respondent in a divorce case.

I told her - sorry, that wasn't the agreement my wife and I had, I am to be the plaintiff, not her... I quickly hang up, grabbed my set of divorce docs, and run 5 blocks to the courthouse to file.

Inside the filing area, I'm being nosy, seeking anyone holding paper with our names on it. No one found, so that's a plus, then

I filed for divorce Monday... Messed up the rest of my day, too.

See? The hint of bacon, without bacon fulfillment, should be a marker for omen, on any given day.

Not a good day, Monday... I miss my wife , heartwrenching, gutwrenching.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Rant, see man: Am on a waiting list for a skunk-trap, unbelievable man.

Cross-bow pistol, home-mixed tranquilizer liquid in the tranquilizer dart attached to the bolt.

Once he's unconscious, put in box or cage, call animal control for pickup.

So your wife knows your phone number, but not your address?

is very strange, that. she has all of my addresses.

So it is advantage for you to file the divorce papers first?

it can be. the person that files is the plaintiff, controls all and controls the calendar.

Darklar I dun like the smell of this......

is ok - I reacted in time. we were to file on Wednesday, meeting up last weekend to go over the paperwork. since she became incommunicado, I worried that an attorney would push stuff. I prepped for that, and thankfully, was right. I have a big can of worms in my worm-storage shed, will be very detrimental to the attorney that took on her case.

Saw your other tourist visa thread. Your ex very sick in hospital?

Yep. Got the news whilst overseas. A great shock, but explains his inability to send a simple fax to the U.S. Embassy. Fingers crossed I can get a tourist visa.

Dang it Darnell, I was hoping for a miracle for you.

It could still happen.

Filing is not granting, and there's a time span in between.

I'm thinking challenging the prenuptial.....

Restraining order on selling assets. It'll #### you up for awhile if that's the route she got talked into taking....

How is Texas on prenups?
