At least it looks clean and that is the best you can do without running water.

But there will be running water! You don't see it in this photo, but generally there is a silcock like we use on the outside of our homes in the USA.

They have running water. It's economy: No tank required, no maintenance of the filling and flushing mechanism.

We did the same thing at home here in the cabin for the last 5 years until my wife put her foot down. The problem for us is that the water is so cold coming up from the well that it causes constant condensation on the bowl and dripping into an impressive puddle on the floor that in turn rots the wood on the cabinet immediately adjacent. It is especially bad if the seal isn't perfect because new cold water is constantly entering.

So why not bring the plumbing in?

Have you thought about a holding tank for the well water inside the house?

They sell these little clip things that go under the tanks and you put a sponge in to prevent this issue.

Where's Midget Boatman? What news of Midget Boatman pulling a red wagon down the street?

Did he recover from the GumpTastic Visit from Yesterday?

What news, o Gentle Reader, of actual fishing and boating?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I wonder if he was one of the parent chaperones with the class or

did he actually get snookered in to the China Economic Desk for afternoon funsies?

ya know, I thought I got all of my crying done and over during 2 to 7 September. recently, as the divorce filing date is fast approaching, I am mush at times I cannot afford to be mush. gotta cry, gotta get it out, but man, I do feel better after hitting the gym on campus. it's not the global fix - I know i'll be devastated after the divorce is finalized, but it is what it is... nothing I can change about it - if there's any hope for this marriage, well, she has to stand up and exist in it. Don't see that happening, atm...

man cut that out!

BTW this is a very typical set up in the Philippines.

No tank on the toilet, you flush by manually pouring water using the dipper, called a tabo. You can't see one in this picture, no doubt because its in the bucket on the left. The tabo is also what you use to clean yourself, no TP.

And as you can see, there's no seat, as they step onto and squat on the edge of the bowl.

whats the most prestige a person can have in China?

A foreign (American) passport....

So culturally, what is better about that versus an EU passport?
