SAT should be spending his free time pampering his wife and attending to her every whim. :luv: Lull at work? Call and see what you can do for wife. Time before bed? Clean house and give wife massage.

In unrelated news - it is freaking cold out.

Now I know you're outta your mind.....

If I did all that (Which I did) she'd just take everything for granted, and want more.....

missing home so so bad :(

found out that even though i get a decent number of vacation days, it's really hard to get time off approved by management. so many people just get their requests denied because of "manpower issues". i was also basically told that since i have no equivalent, i.e. no one else employed by the company does what i do, no one can cover me while i'm gone, so it is unlikely that long periods of absences will be granted, even if unpaid.

and i don't even know why i am ranting because it makes perfect sense to me - which company would want to hire someone who is out a few weeks a year at a time with no one to cover their duties? i don't want to jeopardize my job here but i don't want to give up time with my family back home either.

wish my husband would be more proactive about looking for jobs in singapore. he keeps saying yes he will, but never does.

Have you thought of applying for Singapore PR for your hub?

Maybe it would be easier to look for job with PR status, since there are work permits restrictions for foreigners.

1 I have a tendency to do that, but she does it back to.

2 I thought you moved there for the cold? But it is freaking cold out this morning.

I thought there had been a fair amount of anti-foreign worker sentiment in Singapore lately.

Only 60% of the population are Singapore Citizens. :(

Singapore govt opens the flood gate for foreigners to come and depress the wages.

Racial wise, 70% of population are chinese.

Which would explain the anti-foreign worker sentiment. Who wants their wages held down because of outsiders coming in?

I thought there had been a fair amount of anti-foreign worker sentiment in Singapore lately.

We are not anti-foreign workers (foreigners who do manual, physical tough work).

We are anti the so-called "Foreign Talents" ( Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians), with dubious degrees and depress the local wages. It has come to a point where companies hire these foreign talents because they are cheaper, not because they are better than locals.

And these "Foreign Talents" tend to hire their own kinds and push the locals out of the company.

There is one MNC bank which is overwhelming filled with certain Nationality only.

Talk about being discriminated in your own country.

I'm so slacking off in my Christmas baking I have only made peanut butter cookies. I need to see what I can make today so I can cross another thing off my list. I'm thinking if I can get something knocked out then maybe I will also make cabbage rolls for supper, but I doubt I will get that much done. After all I'm going back to bed soon :P

And I suppose the Singlaporas wanna scrub people's feet all day long for a living......

BTW, Tiff has a couple of friends in Singapore. 1 of which is like the biggest snob. She became a mistress for some dude over there, and then he left her. but she's like a maid in a hotel now. And she thinks she's a bonafide Singapora.....

the other friend is very nice, I like her.

Tiff's other sis is now in Simgapore for employment, after folding her useless salon in KL (Like I didn't see that coming)

I gotta go to Costco, you guys want anything?

Hugs, it will get better.

Total insanity.

I was sitting on a train, when an old Japanese guy starts hovering around me. I ignored him. He then asks if it is ok to turn around the seats infront of me ( meaning they would be facing me). I said Ok (f??king freak!).

The cleaner on the train(another psycho) notices the interchange and suggests to the old dude that he sits elsewhere in the almost vacant carriage.

He refuses.

The cleaner then suggests I turn my seat around so that I wouldn't be facing him as he might feel uncomfortable! She suggests I might get travel sickness by sitting in the opposite direction to the way the train is going!

I gave in, and turned my seat around so as to not be facing the freak.

At the same time, a young Japanese couple cracked up laughing (as did I)!

Creepy, I would of changed seats.

Oh. And another thing.

I phoned my ex fiancé to ask whether he had faxed the letter of withdrawal.

Even though I was speaking to him on his home number, he claimed he was at a friend's house!!

He claimed to have sent a letter by mail. When I said I had had not had any notification from the embassy, and wouldn't it be a good idea to send a fax, as I have been suggesting for the past month, he asked if I was accusing him of not sending a letter and hung up.

Where are the normal people???

How far did your petition get when things stopped?

I can't believe I got 8 hours of sleep last night.....

Nice!
