Stepped outside earlier and was glad to have done so, si man. Cat was somehow outside, looking frantic about wanting to get back in. Mrs. T-B. obviously let her out and once again conveniently forgot her whereabouts, grrr man.

Also noted that the green lizards, who hang around the porch light, have had another litter, wee reptiles man. A couple of the small babies have gotten into the casa (out-grossing Mrs. T-B.); I observe their scurrying uncertainly toward shelter under the furniture. I think that I even saw a parent lizard try to run after one that had headed into the casa, but the adult thought better of continuing inside after spotting me. Even in critters with brainpower less than that of a young soap dish, the strength and instinct of a mother's love are there, si and sigh man.

Next chance I get, I shall love on the cat (which will happen first, based on availability) and squeeze Mini-B. at great length, si and miu and wee man.

Asia and rlogan are here for intelligent dialogue, oj tak and si man, and maybe also Nola too, si ma'am.

How do you make it warm and cozy inside?

With your very own pre-owned toilet seat, oj tak! A special model has been reserved with your name on it! Just go to our website and confirm your ownership today, oj tak!

Also....good job on finally realizing something is up....took her only what....a couple of months ? Talk about oblivious and unaware....lord....

So her ideal and perfect son didn't tell her you got divorced and that you're leaving im in this hole?

WOW... talk about being fair to the people who take care of you...

I know I'm repeating myself, but your ex is really stupid.

And now his mother knows thay you can't be deceived. That you're smarted than she thought. That you're seeing the things as they are and won't put up with her son. She'll have him in her house forever.

look - think of a 'good house' in the PI as really a carport or a patio, with removeable walls.

Stick with a pole design, then once you have it in the shape of the house I showed you, tell her - oh, sorry, this is made from heavy metal and earthquakes not affect anything.

Try to get a good quote on the crane you'll need for placement - usually that's the biggest expense if going 2 or more stories.

Which may be the biggest problem with attempting this. Actually getting a crane to lift things. Very little is built over three stories there, and it would not surprise me that cranes have only been brought to the island for specific big jobs. Its something I need to look into before I even get into the idea of using them. But it is a port city, and there are plenty of containers, I'm just not sure there are portable cranes around.

When my house was built, certain critical joints were epoxy reinforced with epoxy made for use in California.

Check out some materials science and technologies from buildings in Cali.

Filipinos are very resistant to doing things different than they have always done things. If you are not right there and making them do it exactly how you want them to, they will go right back to doing it their own traditional way. And that doesn't even begin to go into the problem of getting advanced materials, which probably don't exist anywhere in the country, let alone an island most Filipinos ignore.

hello all...so I packed up the car yesterday in preparations (the fam stayed this week they had some issues with things) and the FIL tells me today that MIL finally figured out I am not taking the hubs with and calls him up and goes "well now i am pissed off" so I tell him "is it because she thought she was finally going to get rid of him and I will baby him next and clearly i am not going to do that?" and he goes "well yeah and she thought that if he just apologized it would all be fine no matter if you are right or not (since she is assuming i am in the wrong here )."

Oh I wish she would come up to talk to me about how pissed she is.....cause I don't do well with not voicing my opinion.....I would ..... :ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting:

Also....good job on finally realizing something is up....took her only what....a couple of months ? Talk about oblivious and unaware....lord....

*rant over

Well look who came out of hiding. Why wait for her to come up to talk to you? Go to her and give her an earful.

I see no report about it...

He heartlessly whacked them with a pre-owned toilet seat, in order to prevent distress of spousal unit.

She bigger than Juna....

Juna has gotten fat in America. I keep wondering if she'll go on a crash diet before we return to her country, or figure how fat I have gotten since her arrival will deflect attention from her own fatness.

Made scrambled eggs and toast for the Tornado. She still hasn't touched them.

Watched a movie last night with my wife, An Eye For An Eye, where the family spent the night at the neighbors. The visiting young daughter had woken, and the host offered her eggs, then English muffins, both to the disgust of the young girl. My wife and I look at each other and said why doesn't she know to offer a kid pancakes?
