come on - you ain't lived till you've actually done something with the cargo container, after placing it on yer property.

and StevKlar - there be 3 and 4 level cargo container condos and houses IN NYC, folk bought 12 ft wide plots and went vertical.

No, not look like cargo containers anymore - faux frontage outside, is verra nice.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

1- I have one, upstate.

2- do you have any idea how complex nyc zoning laws are? There are no legal abodes made with shipping containers in the 5 boros

I know I kid you about it, but in reality I'm impressed with how nice of places people have built out of shipping containers. I have considered doing such a thing when I move with my wife to the Philippines, but she may hate me if I want to build something using other than concrete.

each container cost 1500.

There were other problems :D

I didn't say it was cheap there in NYC - just that it was done there already.

outraged at the cost ? you should be !

My container cost me 600 and 500 delivery.

By a company called seabox.

You guys can have mine. The town where I'm at wants me to get rid of it.

That looks like a Taliban shishkabob cart...

That container house has gotta be the only one in NYC. I can't imagine the amount of time and money to fight for the variance.

I thought NYC has many many illegals. Should be plenty of cheap labor around.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

hmmmmm.

1. she needs help getting uncorked from the toilet.

2. she can't figure out the video connectors on the high-end web cam.

3. her Ethernet cable fried and she not know where the spares are.

[pick one, there's bound to be more silliness afoot]
