Am I the only one italian who is waiting for the NOA2 since 8 months?

Hi,

The processing time in USCIS has nothing to do with where you're from. It's either based on the workload of the service center, or the individual's case.

You can always call the cust service and ask them what the hell is taking so long, as so many of us have done.

I did it and they said "security checks".

I am not a terrorist and my wife is a house wife after 26 yrs of marriage i think we don't deserve this.

The timeline of nebraska says march 21st.

What else to say if not just waiting, but one think is sure, i won't go to vote this year if the PR is not approved.

Well if that's the case you just have to hang on. Sometimes it's stupid stuff like having a similar name to someone else, but I thought they normally did this after the interview.

To my knowledge they only do background checks at this point, but I'm not sure what exactly is it they check. Maybe someone who knows more about what kind of security checks is it that they do in USCIS will chime in soon.

As for the voting, I'm trying to convince everyone I know, that can do so, to do so. We can't have some serious immigration reform if we don't do something about the ones who failed to negotiate a proper bill. But I don't want to get into politics lol I get enough of that during the day. But speaking of politics, you can always contact your congressperson or senator for help. Good luck.

That is what i did.

I have sent a letter to the governor of the NH and the 2 senators of the NH (dem and rep).

I hope they will anser to me and they will do something.
