After interview, administrating process???

So my wife had her interview 9/9 and they said she will receive a call when everything is done from there end and took her passport and passport pictures? I'm confused how long does this process take?

It can take weeks to months even years in some cases

but in your circumstance , they just need the time to review the missing required docs which i believe that will take at least a week

They said it's for not having the original birth certificate?

We did provide them with a nadra birth certificate which is acceptable but in the interview they said it was only a copy and she asked if she needed to get the original for them and they said they don't need any more docs from us. They just have to finish some things up on there end.

You should have given them the original in the first place. They require original docs and if you are providing a copy, it needs to be a "certified copy". They will need a few days to verify and you will be all set.

there are several other including me in Administrative processing, follow the thread in 221g section to stay updated, it can take several months in this processing!

His case is an I130. It's a little different. They won't need too much time to review his wife's birth certificate. Longer AP times are common for males.

Not from the Pakistan embassy, but Egypt, we got AP after my husband's interview on 9/1. They requested more evidence of bona fide marriage. It's only been a week and they already requested his passport to complete the processing.

Hopefully since it was only for a birth certificate you will only wait a few weeks.

Sounds like it is in AP but am not sure. When your case goes to AP at the Islamabad Embassy, doe they hand you an official letter stating that your case is in AP or they just say something about it and you assume since it is not rejected so its in AP?
