I had applied for Advance Parole. I didn't get it yet but just got the interview notice (so I guess I will not be getting my AP?).

How long after the interview will I get the green card? I have tickets booked for a foreign travel few weeks after interview.

Do they stamp a temporary green card, if not, which other way can I travel?

Thanks!!

Not everyone gets approval right after interview. Someone has to wait for months after interview for final decision. They only stamp if you are approved at the spot.

Thanks for the replies!

I must be wrong but I was thinking that once we get an interview call, they revoke the AP application. I guess I would still be receiving the travel document. Am I right?

Also, If I am not approved for Green card immediately AND I do not receive my AP by then, can I get an infopass and get some stamp or document for an urgent travel (severe financial loss if I don't travel)?

The severe financial loss is your problem. USCIS will not care because the general advice is not to buy your plane tickets without the proper travel documents.

There is no reason for USCIS to accommodate you when you have been advised in the AOS documents not to make travel plans before getting your travel documents.

It they accomodate your financial loss, then it would be rewarding you with expedited AP for breaking the rules.

Please also consider the sever financial loss and lost time if you do travel without an AP or GC. The issue is not being allowed to leave the US as you can do that at anytime. If you do not have the AP or a GC or a valid visa, you will be denied boarding on the airplane for the return trip to the US. You will then have to start the whole immigration process over by submitting another petition and waiting the long wait and then doing another medical and police report and paying another visa fee and finally paying for the GC again. All the while you will not be in the US and it is unlikely you will receive a tourist visa.

You can try for an INFOpass appointment an see if they will expedite your AP card. Of late the USCIS is not giving out stamps in passports. Your best bet is to have the interview, be approved, and receive the GC a few days later--and hope their is no issues with the USPS delivering your GC. Choose wisely.

Good luck,

Dave
