I just notice in nvc website it sayss, aftrr they rcv the iv documents it takes 2-4 weeks to give a result ,means cc or checklist. Thats really cool.

Yeah, my CEAC site says the same: "After submitting the DS-260, mail all supporting documentation (as listed on the Documents The Applicant Must Submit web page) for each applicant to the NVC. Once received, it will take the NVC 2 to 4 weeks to review your case. If any additional information is required after the review, the NVC will notify the applicant (or the applicant’s agent)." ...but I just got my case number so I don't know if it said so before too. I just assumed it was a lie.

The NVC site has always said that, both before and after sending out those 60 day emails.

My CEAC site states the same thing (2-4 weeks), but it took close to 60 calender days for them to review my IV package.

I think they're too "busy" (lazy) to update the information on the CEAC site.

It's actually a bit confusing. The London Embassy says they're valid for up to a year, yet ACRO (or someplace else) says they're only valid for six months. Going by common sense, I'd say NVC would go by what the embassy requires. There's no expiry date on the certificate, just the date of creation which was 24th April 2014.

Reading over what I just wrote, I can tell I'm stressing needlessly even if it does go wrong, I guess it's better to be calm now so I can spend less time being annoyed later on if there actually is a problem.

I highly doubt if you're going to get a checklist since you had lots of time to prepare for your IV package!

Don't get worked up Catherine, I doubt you'll ever get a checklist for that. I think almost if not all U.S embassy state that its good for one year.

Mine stated 3months, U.S embassy said its good for one year and I didn't get a checklist for that from NVC.

Don't worry no matter what they say the US Embassy says one year guide yourself by them. Just to be safe I would e-mail the Embassy they only take two to three days to respond

Is it true that NVC doesn't give you a third checklist? Once they've issued two checklists, for the third one they ask you to just bring your stuff to the interview?

I'm only thinking out the scenerios in my head, if God forbid I made a mistake on my AOS form for something else. Although I only had the checklist for missing n/a for the address part, and I refilled it based on the scanned copy I had (only updated the n/a part) but what if God forbid I missed something! It'll be our third checklist and would we be allowed to bring it to the embassy instead?

I have heard of this and always thought it was the case UNTIL a girl I know just got her third checklist just last week and when she called to ask about bringing it to the interview she was told no. She has contacted her senator since so she is waiting to see if she can still possibly bring it to the interview.
