Hi all, I suppose I want to vent a little. NVC is so unorganized it is maddening. We arrived at NVC in May of this year, and waited till end of june for any bills to become available. For some reason we could only pay the AOS, my husbands DS261 was filled out, but this small questionnaire has yet to be 'checked' so that he can pay the DS260 and get on with this process. The AOS I sent was accepted July 7th (it took a week of sitting there for them to scan it in!)

Soooo, we are waiting for the approval (hopefully) of the AOS and the release of the bill for the DS260. We also had to change embassies from Tokyo to France because my husbands work ended and he had to go back to his home country. That alone took 3 emails and taking to 3 separate people to get them to start processing the embassy change. When I called to check on why we couldn't fill out the DS260 yet, they gave me this as an excuse....changing embassies.

And on top of it all two months after them receiving my AOS, they sent me an email saying it would be 60 more days to process it. Then the next day they sent me an email saying I hadn't contacted the NVC for more then a year and I had to refile my paperwork. Obviously they are not organized at all and blindly answering emails. We just got to the NVC in May. I just don't know how to get more info from these guys. I've tried being nice, I've tried asking for a manager, I've tried being nice again, nothing works.

I know you all are in my boat, just wanted to say hello and talk to fellow frustrated spouses. I hope you are all getting somewhere

I'm so sorry your going through this just seems to get worse with these bozos, did you ask for a supervisor I would try asking them for Octavio or Sylvia there is one more good one but can't remember their name. Keep trying and calling them someone has to help you out here. Good luck and to the thread. I will be praying all works out for you very soon.

Hey guys! Have not been very active this week. Pretty busy with the job and everything but Ofcourse I read the whole thread at bedtime. Nvc has been slow this week which disappointed me. Praying next week to be faster!! One week they are on fire, next week they are admitted to the hospital for their burns sorry bad joke

I just called and spoke with NVC rep {didn't get hold of his name}. He told me about the missing document and also waiting for the supervisor review. I asked to talk with Supervisor Silvia, he placed me on hold and he told me that Supervisor Silvia said Octavio is the supervisor currently handling my case file and that he resume 4pm, he asked me to call back in the evening to speak with Octavio any time from 4.30pm.

**Hubby planned to call this night anyway but I was just too impatient to know the outcome of our case.

At least am a bit relief someone has been appointed to handle my case file and Supervisor Silvia and the rep even confirmed its Octavio without me telling them hubby had spoke with Octavio before.

Am praying to God to touch the heart of Octavio and make him check my file and give me a CC. My prayers also goes to Soloenta, Samreen, Romil, Msc and everyone going thru this immigration process. We all shall come out of this process victorious and happy by God's grace.

I have been traveling so off VJ for a while. I was sure I would see your case complete by the time I returned. I am so very sorry. Hopefully the supervisor will see what everyone else is missing.

Yup called NVC twice today, I have never done that and Sylvia the supervisor was gone for the day, left early so there is nothing I can do until Monday. I don't hold much hope I just don't trust anyone anymore. You would think they would want to fix this since they blatantly lied to me about the AOS and CC, they should be embarrassed with the actions of their reps. Their actions were not only cruel but unprofessional to say the least.

Hello, I have been at NVC for ever and was trapped at USCIS for over a year I see people zipping by while many of us sit still waiting for case complete. I want you to know that I have been lied to by the the customer service reps at NVC, one told me my AOS was accepted then I called a few days later and was told I had Case Complete I rarely call because most of the reps are very rude and not helpful at all. I called Monday to confirm and the Rep told me my files had not even been touched. Why isn't my case rushed because of the way I was treated? Why do you insist on treating us like this it's just cruel and there are others in the same boat as I am that need immediate help with our cases but we wait and wait many of us for 16 and 18 months. Tell me why I was lied to not only once but twice? I want answers and action I paid for service I am not receiving!!!!!!!!!

I'm gay and I came out during the early days of the AIDS crisis. I came out with a vengeance, as they said at the time, getting active in the fight against AIDS right away. I was active in ACT UP. If you don't know, it stands for the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power. And they did. They were vilified by many for direct action and anger, but they made permanent changes among other things to the FDA approval process for new drugs that have probably saved hundreds of thousands of lives over the years since. But what they taught us was that if no one cares, which at the time they didn't--Reagan was directly complicit in the murder of many gay men by his inaction--you must ACT UP.

Does anyone really feel like we are not justified in not getting angry about how we and our families are being treated by our own government?

Now someone come up with an acronym as catchy as ACT UP for us.

Some NVC agents lie to us by telling us what we want to hear in order to end the call!

Good one, I just made a comment on the website too. NVC is a complete waste of time, its better they delete NVC from this immigration process and allow beneficiaries go with the documents to the interview. SMH for NVC

It only takes a heartless person to behave just the way NVC behaves. They don't know what it feels like to be separated from a loved one.

Thanks sweetie, hubby plan to call tonight to get update from Octavio, hopefully he will be able to see what others are so blind to see. Hubby told Octavio that a copy of the document was submitted at USCIS stage and we also included the original and a copy again in the IV package. Hubby even described how the document looks like, he told Octavio that its a green certificate with all the stamps, seal and signature from federal government. Hubby even asked Octavio if he can scan a copy to his private email so he can have ideal of what to look for in the file, Octavio said no, he told hubby he knows how Nigeria death certificate looks like. So hopefully we are praying Octavio opens his eyes and search very well to see that the certificate is right there in the file.
