I thought my question would better thrive here than in the 'normal' nvc thread,

I've seen plenty of people complaining about the nvc -usually justified- and Soloenta even has a link in her signature where to send complaints about Rep's that are w@nkers. Now I am wondering, can I use the same address to tell the supervisor that a certain rep did an outstanding job and was actually polite to me?

I've been around here for a while, and I've called the nvc about 1 gazilion times and for the first time I had a rep (Rick) who was polite, and actually tried to help me.

So.. does anyone have any input on this?

Yes I think you can use same email address on Soloenta's signature.

** I remembered she also sent an email commending an NVC rep DON for an outstanding job and for been so polite and helpful.

If you don't mind, maybe you can copy and paste the email here so that someone can help you out.

**have you tried calling the NVC or request to speak with a supervisor?

It might be a false checklist. I think you should call and find out. Are you sure you submitted every page of the I-864, including the signature page?

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

Yes oh! eoc4ever, proudly naija. You and I were neck and neck till I got that dreadful checklist for aos on the 22nd of august. My scan date for checklist is the 29, and iv 25. By God' grace you should get case complete by next week. No more scheduling for October at the consulate. I found it out on nairaland. I guess you will probably get early November.

Hahaha, I've lived in Yellowknife for 4+ yrs... Now that's some cold....Brrrrrrr......!!

If it makes any of you first-timers feel better. I have already had the green card, have two US citizen kids and hubby of 16 yrs, and I am trapped alone on this side of the border going through it all again too.

Let us keep each other's chins up, drink much wine and enjoy Austin's hard drive full of images relevant to the NVC process!

(I have no warm place in my heart for Nebraska these days... fyi).

Kanuk, I feel for you as one time green card holder having to go through the process again.

I am petitioning for my mother, who also had a green card and lived in the States for 5+ years but never got US citizenship. She went back home and stayed busy with house repairs, dental surgeries, etc. and as a result she overstayed her 12 months. Since she is retired, it was not an issue for us, but it turned out to be a huge issue once she wanted to return to the US. Now she has to go through the process again. In the meantime, she has not been able to see me either get married, or have a baby - her first grandchild. She was refused a tourist visa since she did not meet the intent to immigrate requirement. And since her dental surgeries and house repairs were "within her control" she was not deemed eligible as a returning resident. My husband and I are expecting again and I hope mom will get to see my belly this time around. It has taken us over a year to go through this process and we are still not done with it. :clock:

Geez, I left yesterday with 2 pages and now there are 7 pages of soil for me to sift through. People should just stop posting anything so that I don't have to read anything at all.

**This post was made with the sole intent to convey sarcasm, any other meaning should be strictly ignored. Or, better yet it should be taken seriously and then I'll have to read several pages of posts about it. hehehehe

LOL! Sifting through dirt that is, and not soil, as you say. Let's stay true to the original comment. :dancing: Happy to be here and able to post what's on my heart. Will keep my comments emotion free and Nazi sterile for the other post.

NVC is horrible right now I hear. Will they get all this worked out soon or is this backlog going to go on for a long long time before any progress is made?

With the new NVC process, I think it will be easy for those that will be joining NVC newly.

Hi tbthree86, sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Since September is the last month of dv lottery, nvc started scheduling alot of k1,&k3 interviews, they makeup a lot of the interviews at the consulate. The consulate also said they would not change appt dates, unless it is life or death.

Lets hope so! But as far as getting them to actually receive the files are getting later and later. At least it gives us time to make sure that we are following the new processes and not the older one. -- Hopefully they are all 'qualified' to sift through people who sent in two packages and who sent in one...:no::no:

Am so sorry for your checklist. I don't know what I'll do if I ever get a checklist :dead: :dead: :dead:

Yes I also follow nairaland too. :wow: so no more free slot for October again? The CO at the Lagos embassy stated last week that they still have free slot for October and that they are still willingly to schedule more people for October if NVC ask them if they can still take more for October :dead: :dead:

**I was hoping to reschedule for October date :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:
