Hubby just finished talking with NVC, I told him to ask of Silvia or Ike or Octavio. He was told Silvia is not on night shift so he got supervisor Octavio and he explained to him about the checklist, he told Octavio that a copy of the document was submitted to USCIS and then the original and a copy of the document was included in the IV package. Hubby discribed how the document looks like to Octavio and he promise to help pull the file and review it.

**Octavio said they have about 70 case files that are up for supervisor review and that it might take 1-2weeks to get thru the files since my request was just put in yesterday. Hubby asked when can he call back, Octavio said next week, hubby said can he call back on Friday for check up and Octavio said he should call back and request to speak with him.

I pray and hope Octavio will do his best to help us out.

I know how bad u must be feeling believe me but don't let them bring you down! Just remind yourself it must be over at one point I know it's hard to be positive while dealing with their stupid system. But it will be over hopefully sooner than you think

Thanks a lot sweetie, your words means a lot to me. The document is right there with NVC, its an oversight by the reviewer, maybe the reviewer was hungry or probably feeling sleepy when reviewing my package. I pray God opens the eyes of whoever is reviewing it again so as to see the document.

Hi EOC, I see your last scan day is July 31th, Did you have any news? I saw a cc from August 4th... My husband called yesterday but we didnt have any news :/

No CC yet for me, hopefully it will happen when NVC supervisor correct their mistake. I pray and hope you hear good news soon. Fingers crossed for you.

It's official... I had a Hat-trick today... third AP in as many consecutive visa applications !!!!

Had the most grueling interview today. Arrived at the embassy at 12:30 and left at 3:00 pm. The CO interview alone lasted over an hour and a half !!! Half way through the interview the CO was about to reject the application citing a missing requirement from the petition (a tenure-track job offer). I had to painstakingly convince him that he was citing the requirements of the wrong visa category altogether. Once that was squared away, I had to walk him through my 14-page petition letter and all the evidence contained in it which exceed the requirements of the correct petition category. Glad I had a duplicate of everything I submitted... it was like one of my lectures... CO said as much jokingly at the end.

At the end, we reached a compromise that I provide a fresh letter from CU-Boulder that they are expecting my arrival and are providing their research facilities for my use (received a 221(g) letter detailing this request). I had a formal letter to that effect from CU-Boulder, but the CO wanted a reaffirmation !!!

So drained now... I need to rest before I contact CU-Boulder.

What idiots, I would beg you to come to my country and roll out the red carpet for you and your family. Your brilliant in every way and an asset to any country or organization of any and every kind. He must have been jealous you have a brain and he's working on air. But thank God in the scheme of things this is easy to do and get you to Colorado. I'll be praying it can be done very quickly. Now rest you've earned it and then some.

Guys we received my AOS checklist email today for Part 3 item 7 and the checklist was in the name of the petitioner.. We have a joint sponsor. When we checked the petitioner's (my wife) I 864 we found that Part 3 item 7 was correct. When we checked our joint sponsor's form we immediately noticed that Part 3 item 7 was wrong. Instead of 1 my joint sponsor had mentioned 0 in Part 3 item 7. So we corrected my joint sponsor's I 864 and will be mailing it today. My understanding is these days even the names on the checklist's are messed up and we need to apply logic while sending in the corrections....

So sorry you have a checklist but thrilled it's simple and easily fixed. WOW now you can breath and I agree you have to apply logic to everything that has to do with Immigration and check and recheck a million times.

Thanks romii. It's an employment visa tailored for scientists and artists who could prove they're leading experts in their field, hence it doesn't require a prior job offer and can be self-petitioned... called EB-1A. I had to educate the CO on it to reverse his denial decision on the spot.

This just truly makes me want to cry and am close to it. Wish you could go to Ecuador live in Quito such a beautiful city and nice people there they would respect and cherish what you have to give to the country. UNBELIEVABLE! I still think this will be fine once the OC received the second set of papers he asked for to save face.

Yes his willingly to call NVC everyday if that will get NVC to correct their own fault. It can be really painful and annoying when you send in all the correct documents and some lazy a$$ reviewer finds it difficult to go thru the package and do their job properly. :bonk:

Damnn NVC and their carelessness, just received the checklist email. The time and energy wasted on constructing this email would have been used to check the package and see that what they requested for is right there with them.

Still waiting for the supervisor review. Calling again tonight to see if the supervisor had actually pull the file for review.

They created this mess it's up to them to fix it. They have just messed so many of us up for no reason at all. Is it incompetent? Stupidity or is this done on purpose? It's really almost impossible for me to fathom they aren't doing this to just delay us.

If your near water I would think a lovely dinner at a nice restaurant on the water would be lovely, then to a bakery for some pastry then home to watch a movie and relax hahaha that's what I would love. Congratulations hope it ends soon and you don't have to deal with this anymore.

What used to take six months of waiting is taking 16+ months and still counting

I remember everyone was saying that NVC was much better than USCIS when I got NOA2 in April!

It was supposed to take one month to get a case number; then, one more month to get a CC (total of 2 months).

It ended up taking me more than 4.5 months (without any checklists)!

He will Insha'Allah I have heard as many good things about Octavio as I have about Sylvia so we are both in good hands.

I emailed CU-Boulder before I went to bed with the CO's request, and woke up this morning with the requested supporting letter already in my mailbox. GO C U !!! as we used to chant during CU's football games ages ago. I'll hand-deliver the letter to the embassy later this morning.
