Hahaha, I've lived in Yellowknife for 4+ yrs... Now that's some cold....Brrrrrrr......!!

If it makes any of you first-timers feel better. I have already had the green card, have two US citizen kids and hubby of 16 yrs, and I am trapped alone on this side of the border going through it all again too.

Let us keep each other's chins up, drink much wine and enjoy Austin's hard drive full of images relevant to the NVC process!

(I have no warm place in my heart for Nebraska these days... fyi).

Trust, but verify!

No worries girl(soloenta), you are truly a sweetheart. You always have kind words, by God's grace I hope you have a beautiful married life with your husband like my parents. A true soulmate. I do not like fresno, and Bakersfield I call them cow and hick town. Although I want to go to san Diego, I love that city. I really hope we all get to meet, it would be great. So how is the job market in cali. I left my job at Kaiser permanente(claimes adjuster).

Awww thank so very much means the world to me your so sweet and kind. OMG I hate Fresno and Bakersfield is way worse if that's possible. San Diego is very nice but to close to the Boarder for me. But still close enough to L.A. so good place to be. :)

I'm a Respiratory Therapist but haven't worked since I got back, taking care of my parents. But hospital work is always good, I used to work at Cedars and UCLA. :D And I think your line of work is a great one and always hiring. :)

Would be so wonderful to met,a dream come true. :)(F) (L) (F)

I think to future VJers this shall be known as The Great VJ NVC Divide of 2014

In all seriousness, thank you Soloenta, for making this thread as a “safe place” for everybody in this terrible, terrible process. Your posts brighten my day with your kindness.

I’m still a relative “newbie” (I only filed 6 months ago) so I won’t insult the people who have struggled for much longer by ranting.

Yalla NVC! We’re ready for our interviews!

Your very welcome it wasn't my idea but happy it turned out so well. No don't worry people only get upset when those with short timelines like 22 to 60 days from USCIS to NVC come in and complain about waiting times hahahahaha then all hell breaks lose.:D Your not like that so you say what you have to say when you have to say it it's our thread so don't worry about that. Hahaha so happy my Emoticons don't annoy ;)

I'm going to try to sleep a tiny bit, you guys hold up the fort hahahaha. ;)

Geez, I left yesterday with 2 pages and now there are 7 pages of soil for me to sift through. People should just stop posting anything so that I don't have to read anything at all.

**This post was made with the sole intent to convey sarcasm, any other meaning should be strictly ignored. Or, better yet it should be taken seriously and then I'll have to read several pages of posts about it. hehehehe

    :rofl:Hahahahaha now how could you complain if we don't post? Hahahahaaa welcome happy your home. :D (F)(L)(F)

I thought my question would better thrive here than in the 'normal' nvc thread,

I've seen plenty of people complaining about the nvc -usually justified- and Soloenta even has a link in her signature where to send complaints about Rep's that are w@nkers. Now I am wondering, can I use the same address to tell the supervisor that a certain rep did an outstanding job and was actually polite to me?
I've been around here for a while, and I've called the nvc about 1 gazilion times and for the first time I had a rep (Rick) who was polite, and actually tried to help me.

So.. does anyone have any input on this?

Our journey so far:
May '13: Met at university in the Netherlands
25 Jun '13: Became an official couple!
28 Dec ’13: Proposed to her

12 Feb '14 Visited my wife for 12 days in Ohio (12 through 24 February). POE Chicago, harassment level very low.

24 Feb ’14: Got married in Ohio.
25 Mar ’14: I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox.
27 Mar ’14: I-130 NOA1 (text & email)
04 Apr ’14: I-130 NOA1 (letter)
18 Jun '14: I-130 NOA2 (text & email)
26 Jun '14: Case received by NVC

10 Jul '14: Case# assigned (received along with the INN and BIN on the 15th via phone)
28 Jul '14 Received DS-261 & AOS Bill

29 Jul '14 Submitted DS-261 & paid AOS bill
02 Aug '14 AOS fee shows "Paid"

05 Aug '14 Sent AOS package

06 Aug '14 AOS package received (scanned) by NVC (eventually confirmed by Arthur on 07 Aug '14)

14 Aug '14 Visiting my Wife in Ohio for 64 days (Until October 17th). POE Philadelphia, harassment level low.

08 Sep '14 IV bill received & paid

10 Sep '14 IV shows up as paid, IV package sent

12 Sep '14 DS-260 submitted

20 Sep '14 IV package returned to me by the US postal service Great *sigh*

22 Sep '14 Re-sending IV package (Priority Mail 2-day Delivery)

24 Sep '14 IV package arrived (USPS tracking confirmed)

24 Sep '14 IV package received (scanned, 60 day email sent)

05 Oct '14 AOS package accepted (60 days after 06 Aug) Stupid NVC now reviews both packages together, using the last scandate.

23 Oct '14 Checklist received for AOS, missed a couple checkboxes and now I'll have to miss my wife an extra 2 months

05 Nov '14 AOS-Checklist scanned in

23 Dec '14 Case complete!

21 Jan '15 Medical
24 Feb '15 Interview -Approved! (issued as of 25 Feb '15)

27 Feb '15 Visa in hand, feels good.
07 Mar '15 POE at DTW, easy as pie.

17 Mar '15 Got my SS card in the mail --Elis still says 'Optimised' though

21 Apr '15 Got my Green Card in the mail!

--To do:--

07 Dec '16 File I-751 (Removal of Conditions)

07 Mar '18 File N-400 (Naturalization)

They have until the 20th of this month to get back to me before I start calling and getting crazy because they think this whole process is a joke.

So far though (FOR ME) NVC has been decent with their timing, I'm trying to be patient until my calender deadline is reached before I get crazy because USCIS was just so terrible for me. A year and a half of my life wasted by those people.

-____- #######.

WELCOME, now how the heck did I almost miss you? So happy your joining us and you GO GIRL! You do what you have to do and we'll back you up. ;) 20 Th your around our time frame just a few days sooner. :D See you guys in a bit.

Hi Austincanada, yes I have been following you too. I always felt that there are 4 with almost same timelines, soloenta, samareen 23, austincanada, and eoc4ver. I was just a silent watcher till now. I hope we all get cc's soon. I have been so stressed out, and frustrated by Nvc. Sometimes I feel I am bi-polar. lol

Everyone going thru this immigration process is seriously stressed out. Most espcially at the NVC stage. I wasn't so worried and inpatient like this when I was at the USCIS stage. I guess the closer to the end of the process the more worry and anxiety.

I have no idea but I definitely think that it's worth it to take the time to make it known. Send an email and maybe even take the time to call one day just to ask for a supervisor and let them know. I would think that if a supervisor got that compliment they would let Rick know about it and maybe they even have merit awards or employee of the month or something. I'm sure it would make Rick's day, make a supervisor beam and hopefully give them a reason to be extra helpful for at least a few hours that day.

I had the same experience with Jim, he was awesome!!! I'm going to find a way to let them know, probably when I call to ask for a supervisor to look at my DS261 that still isn't approved. :-)

I am the USC Petitioner. My wonderful wife Laura is from Scotland.

Geez, I left yesterday with 2 pages and now there are 7 pages of soil for me to sift through. People should just stop posting anything so that I don't have to read anything at all.

**This post was made with the sole intent to convey sarcasm, any other meaning should be strictly ignored. Or, better yet it should be taken seriously and then I'll have to read several pages of posts about it. hehehehe

Oh wow , I live by henry mayo hospital, they are always looking for respiratory therapists. Hope the drive will not be to bad. Just get on the 5north and exit on mcbean parkway. oh I can' t wait to meet you, my Poe will be Atlanta , then a connecting flight to lax. I am not scared to go near the border, this journey alone is much scarier. I hope your eyes are fine now. I had my daughter at habor/ UCLA hospital, in Torrance. I hope you have kids soon, your cat would be very jealous

(I have no warm place in my heart for Nebraska these days... fyi).

I think Nebraska is picking up real fast. My case file was transferred to Nebraska after waiting for 5months at NBC. Thank God you've been approved and I pray you get real fast with the rest of the process.

Everyone going thru this immigration process is seriously stressed out. Most espcially at the NVC stage. I wasn't so worried and inpatient like this when I was at the USCIS stage. I guess the closer to the end of the process the more worry and anxiety.
