I really got tears in my eyes after reading ur this post. I know what it feels to have a checklist. And it's even worse to get it when u r actually expecting a case complete. I m really really praying ur husband's calls make a difference and that Nvc corrects their mistake. He must really love u to say these words to u!! And u r an angel so u deserve that love!! We r all rooting for u!! :luv:(L) (l)

Thanks sweetie, you are an angel and your hubby is so lucky to have you. We both can't wait to start our family, no kids yet for the both of us and we are really craving to have some. His all alone all by himself, his work and me is what keeps him going on in life.

We both just can't bear to be apart anymore. We are really hoping to be together by November.

I've read on this thread that it takes 30days for supervisor review but usually faster than that. I would call again & specifically ask to speak with a supervisor since it's NVC error and hope u can get CC on the phone. Best of luck to u my friend. Praying for u. ?

What I was told is it can take up to 30 days which Is why I said to the Rep, now way been waiting way over a year have been stuck in limbo every step of the way up to this point no I need to talk to a supervisor please and I got one. :D So one week if you call and let them know how long you've been in this nightmare or up to 30 days if you do nothing. :D

I know Maria but you have to. ;)t4582.gif (L)

Soloenta I feel for you and eoc, what is going on in that dysfunctional agency, called NVC. This is the problem with people who don't give a damn about their job. like I told eoc, this nightmare would soon be over, and it will be joy, joy, joy. You all are always in my prayers my dears, oh and also samreen too.

Thank you my dear :) I can't believe how blatantly they lie, I couldn't do it I rather say nothing t4582.gif

Eoc you truly have a good man. I am waiting for you to get that cc, so we can celebrate. With vj, you have already made friends, who will be there with you in the states.

Thanks Ebu for your kind words. I belief that by God's grace the CC will happen soon. We all will celebrate together soon.

So happy your husband is going to call daily, that way he will know if the supervisor has looked at it or not and if not ask to talk to that supervisor or ask for Sylvia , Ike humm there's one more starts with an O I thing hehee only saw it once. OMG see you have the right one and they still have no clue and insist. I bet your husband can get them to review it this week since you have your CC they are just to stupid to know it. I'll keep praying I'm sure God is say OH NO NOT HER AGAIN!  (L)

Thanks sweetheart, he asked to speak with a supervisor last night the rep was kind enough, she put him on hold and went to check if there was any supevisor around but unfortunately none was available but the rep said a supervisor review have been requested and they will have a look at it and call him back but hubby told me he won't rely on their call and that he will be calling them everyday until they have a look at it and get it fixed.

**I think the other supervisor you wanted to say was Octavio, I hope I got the spelling right.

Soloenta that's great that you got Sylvia to review the docs, inshAllah she'll get them reviewed quickly. She had unlocked my IV fees within a day, she's very good. InshAllah a CC by today or tomorrow!!!! :dancing::dancing:

EOC! Hang in the there hun. Please have your husband call and speak with a supervisor. Once it's under a specific supervisor review, it gets done faster. I'm not sure how long the one rep requested takes. All in all, you deserve a CC and you will inshAllah (God Willing). Stay strong and positive and don't ever let these idiots bring you down. They can't keep us apart from our spouses for long!

What doesn't break us will make us stronger. I always believed in that. I'm sure anyone going through the NVC ordeal recently, is experiencing a newfound affirmation of love and kinship to his/her spouse/family.

I'm sure we'll cross paths one day as long as we stay in touch.

I'll be back, hopefully with good news, later today.

It's official... I had a Hat-trick today... third AP in as many consecutive visa applications !!!!

Had the most grueling interview today. Arrived at the embassy at 12:30 and left at 3:00 pm. The CO interview alone lasted over an hour and a half !!! Half way through the interview the CO was about to reject the application citing a missing requirement from the petition (a tenure-track job offer). I had to painstakingly convince him that he was citing the requirements of the wrong visa category altogether. Once that was squared away, I had to walk him through my 14-page petition letter and all the evidence contained in it which exceed the requirements of the correct petition category. Glad I had a duplicate of everything I submitted... it was like one of my lectures... CO said as much jokingly at the end.

At the end, we reached a compromise that I provide a fresh letter from CU-Boulder that they are expecting my arrival and are providing their research facilities for my use (received a 221(g) letter detailing this request). I had a formal letter to that effect from CU-Boulder, but the CO wanted a reaffirmation !!!

So drained now... I need to rest before I contact CU-Boulder.

Good grief! What an ordeal. Kudos for being so well prepared, can't imagine how badly it would've gone if you weren't ready to back up every word of your petition. Enjoy that well-earned break and hopefully things will be concluded quickly after the new (redundant) letter is provided.

Guys we received my AOS checklist email today for Part 3 item 7 and the checklist was in the name of the petitioner.. We have a joint sponsor. When we checked the petitioner's (my wife) I 864 we found that Part 3 item 7 was correct. When we checked our joint sponsor's form we immediately noticed that Part 3 item 7 was wrong. Instead of 1 my joint sponsor had mentioned 0 in Part 3 item 7. So we corrected my joint sponsor's I 864 and will be mailing it today. My understanding is these days even the names on the checklist's are messed up and we need to apply logic while sending in the corrections....

Ugh, that's awful! All that preparation just to have to give them something twice. I hope your AP is swift and the document review goes smoothly. Fingers crossed for you that Colorado will be quick with your request as well!

Sounds like the CO needed to save face after you schooled him. I suspect things will move quickly once you submit what he asked for! :)

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.

So sorry about the stress, the CO didn't want to feel defeated that's why he asked for a fresh letter. Am sure once you submit the letter, you'll surly have your visa.

Good grief! What an ordeal. Kudos for being so well prepared, can't imagine how badly it would've gone if you weren't ready to back up every word of your petition. Enjoy that well-earned break and hopefully things will be concluded quickly after the new (redundant) letter is provided.

Clearly, the CO was predisposed to deny my visa from the get go. What really upset me was the fact he didn't make his intention clear until after the first 45 minutes of the interview, including mock oaths for my 4 underage kids. I would've been denied for sure if I weren't well prepared mentally, emotionally and with a complete set of organized evidence.

Ugh, that's awful! All that preparation just to have to give them something twice. I hope your AP is swift and the document review goes smoothly. Fingers crossed for you that Colorado will be quick with your request as well!

Thanks... It's my wife I felt sorry for. She was fuming for seeing me standing at the window the entire time. Glad her short fuse stayed unlit.

Sounds like the CO needed to save face after you schooled him. I suspect things will move quickly once you submit what he asked for! :)

I got that feeling, but thought it's best not to push my luck arguing the seeming illegality of the request considering my petition category. There is no legal recourse for a Consular denial after all. My other option would've been starting from zero at the USCIS with a new petition. It could still happen.
