Im glad to know u at least talked to a supervisor and Silvia has had good reviews from ppl here. Hope u hear back soon or u should try calling on friday to follow up. Best of luck my friend!

And once u get official CC you'll forget all about NVC heartache. You've been waiting so long and deserve CC TODAY!!

Praying for u my friend and keep us updated.

Vj really needs to come up with an App or live streaming that gives instant notifications like skype or viber. ?

Thank you, she didn't seem that nice but not mean either, but then the only thing that really matters is if she does her job and helps us out. I can live with out nice if people get things done.

I'll tell you Maria, I wont forget about this until I know I'm out for sure. Thank you for your prayers my friend they mean the world to me more precious than diamonds. :) You are also in my prayers and wont stop until your out of here. :) Yes they need to fix this but I think they like it this way. You are not been dramatic sweetie. I had a sharp pain in my heart after I called and got the bad news from JIM and I almost passed out. Am still feeling the pain in my heart right now.

Honestly EOC not to sound dramatic but I almost passed out twice in the last two days and find myself trying to catch my breath. This has never happened to me before. :(

Oh, so sorry to hear that!:cry::cry:

I almost passed out when I found out that I got transferred to NSC (Nebraska Service Center) at the USCIS stage. :crying:

Hi all. I posted this in the other NVC thread but the community here will likely be able to help also. :dancing:

I have a question for anybody going through this process for the second time:

I was a LPR up until recently and I am confused with some of the questions on the DS-260, specifically regarding previous visits and whether LPR is a visa for the terms of this form. I cannot seem to find instructions on this so i'd like to see what the consensus appears to be.

Do I list entering the US as a permanent resident after going away on vacations as a "visit"?

Is LPR a visa? I cannot find it listed in the drop down menu and can only think it would come under "other- immigrant visa" but then it asks for a visa number. I have only ever had an alien registration number, no visa number. Should I repeat the ARN in the visa number section?

I suppose these seem like small details and i'm sure the Embassy will discuss it with me if there are issues, but it might be good to get an idea from others before I submit.

Not LPR per se, but the IV you got last time is your last visa, unless you got an non-IV issued recently. As for last 5 US visits, I'm not sure... logically, from POE date till last exit from US that terminated LPR status should be a single "visit". However, I'm guessing background checks will utilize the CBP electronic entry/exit logs which means you should list the last 5 trips to the US regardless of status.

Please let us know when you find a definite answer.

You are not been dramatic sweetie. I had a sharp pain in my heart after I called and got the bad news from JIM and I almost passed out. Am still feeling the pain in my heart right now.

I had the same chest/heart pain for months after my wife was diagnosed with cancer. At one point, my left arm went numb as well. Fearing the worst I went to the ER and had EKG and was reassured of good heart health. Turned out stress does that to you sometimes. Definitely go to the ER if you feel left arm/shoulder numbness or shortness of breath.

Not me, I almost passed out when they transferred us out to NVC, thought that nightmare would never end. :( Boy everyone transfered to that H E LL whole and NVC should be given free pass out of Immigration and two passes each to either Disney LAND the one and only original or the Disney in Florida. :D (L)

Thank you dear... Yes, she had mastectomy 6 years ago and she's been cancer free ever since. 5 years of medications took a toll on her quality of life though, but the tough lady is bouncing back of late. The prospect of relocating to Colorado is cheering her to no end.

I could use some moral support - applied September of last year - just got a notice that due to a large number of applications they won't be looking at our most recent paperwork for sixty days - this is so difficult -

Just hang in there! These 60 days emails are discouraging but hey at least they're working on it. Let's all look at the bright side, we've all waited over a year, so these 60 days would pass too.

Stay strong and optimistic, there is an end to all of this and we will reach it, whenever it's destined to be!

So cheer up! :dance::dance:

I am in a similar situation with my mom. I listed all POE entries. She got her green card while in the US, so she didn't have immigrant visa number, just an A# and I listed that. Then I was as detailed as possible about her situation, entries in the US as a visitor and then as a LPR, since she was declined a visitor's visa in 2013, after she was not approved for returning PR. I am sure all this will come up during the interview. Best of luck and speedy CC!

I guess NVC don't understand that embassy only accepts documents from NPC. SMH for NVC

I guess not!!! NVC needs to be retrained on clients countries, and what documents are acceptable at the embassies. Geez!!!!!

Oh I'm so happy, I know what the medication does to the body but with time she will be back to normal. One of my dear friends had a double masttectomy and also had a rough time but with time got back to her bouncy normal self. :) Colorado is a beautiful place now wonder it's cheering her up. :) Give her a big huge hug from me. :D(F) (L) (F)

We know how you feel Vlntine but don't feel so bad, I promise you NVC has been moving faster and I'm praying soon will be back to normal. A lot of us were stuck at USCIS for a year or more and now they are zipping a long. I feel the same will happen with NVC. So hang in there and feel free to come here and just say what's on your mind that is what this place is for to let off steam so we wont find ourselves on the 6 o'clock news. :D Welcome to the family. :Dt5063.gif

I found some courage and called NVC boy the wait was eternal but reached Amanda the one that told me I had CC. Told her the situation and if Sylvia had left anything for me. She checked and said no but that she requested my files and she is the one that will look over them to the end. I'm so happy it was her the Rep spoke to I feel blessed again.

Praying she will do this as soon as possible so we might have a chance for a good interview date, Insha'Allah. :)t4582.gif

Hubby called again tonight and the rep told him that we'll be getting the checklist email for the death certificate, Hubby told the rep that its already included in the package and that they should check again, the rep asked him which government authority issued the certificate and hubby said its National Population Commission {NPC}, the rep said yes that's the correct government authority that they accept documents from.

The rep said Jim had already requested for a supervisor review. I wonder how long its going to take for a supervisor review since they already have the correct document and its mistake on their own part.
