Why is it so quiet here these days?

It's like pin drop silence. *drops a pin*

Quietly waiting....

Waiting sucks...!

'picks up pin and sticks in eye'

Trust, but verify!

I called and spoke with Jim, told me to expect a checklist email today or tomorrow. He said the death certificate submitted didn't pass their review. He said I have to get another original, I told him that's the original death certificate. He said he will have to pull the file again and pass it on for a supervisor review. I asked if I can talk to a supervisor he said FOR WHAT? He said I should call back in a week and half.

Am so devastated :crying: :crying: :crying: I couldn't stop crying and he just told me to call back next week. :crying: :crying: :crying:

Oh noooooo!!! I am so sorry EOC! Wth is wrong with these people, why are they being such idiots!

Please don't worry, just call back and ask to speak with a supervisor. These reps are just beyond retarded and they never do anything right.

Don't worry! You'll have it accepted. They just like to play with people's emotions and then later on accept the documents.

My husband called NVC and asked for the scan date for our package only to be asked "scan date? What's that?" XD

After I suggested he ask the agent when any pending mail pieces were scanned in, the agent said August 15th. So at least I know my scan date now <3

Btw EOC... really sorry about the death certificate :( is it one from Nigeria or from the US?

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

OH NO! I've been reading your posts for a bit now and can't believe that you got a checklist!! I would seriously start screaming up to high heaven about it - especially if it's the ORIGINAL death certificate. Perhaps start asking would you like to see pictures of the deceased? Are you guys *that* insensitive where I've actually got the original and you are not accepting it?

Terrible. They really want to see how many they can push for another 60 days before reviewing it I feel. Don't take that sitting down - stand up and start demanding that they do something - more than likely they will have to either get a supervisor to review it or just ask you to take more proof or something else to the consulate.

Whatever you do, don't get depressed and just take the word - if you know it's the original then you need to start screaming.

Oh my dear eoc, I am so sorry. I am just so totally upset, I have been checking on you, to see if you got a cc. What do they mean it is not original death certificate, don't these people check well, before issuing a checklist. What is nvc' s problem? the embassy is the final say, and sometimes they are not as ####### as nvc. Damn I am pissed off!!! Eoc make sure you try to speak to a supervisor. Don' t be sad sweetie, it will be ok. I remembered when I got a checklist, I was angry and pissed off. but something good came out of it. Please continue to have faith my dear. I am really pulling for you.

Ok so here it comes guys!!! My AOS was reviewed yesterday and I have a checklist coming to my email....

The error is in Part 3, Item 7 "Enter the total number of immigrants you are sponsoring on this form from Items 1 through 6"). I have entered 1 for Item 7 under Part 3 since I have marked 'Yes' for item 1 under Part 3("I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in Part 2"). Someone please let me know what needs to be corrected here...... :crying:

Please note my wife the petitioner is not employed with 0 income and we have a sole joint sponsor who makes well above the financial requirements.

Checklist!? :wow: I'm so sorry to hear that.

You'll receive a checklist document in 1-3 days. You should be able to get more info once you receive it.

I hope it's easy to fix it so you can send it to NVC ASAP. -_-

Death certificate? :huh2: I didn't know you had to send a death certificate. I'm a bit confused... :(

It should have been okay as long as you sent the original or certified copy (not notarized copy).

Was that in English? If not, I assume you attached a translation document by a certified translator, correct?

I'm so sorry about this.... :crying: I hope a supervisor can fix it.

I called again and spoke with Carl, he told me that my package have not been reviewed yet, he said they are still within their 60days time frame. I explained to him that I called earlier and spoke with Jim and he made mention about a checklist list, he said he can see that my IV package have not been reviewed yet. I asked him when can I call back, he said any time I like, then he said I can call back by the end of this week.

I don't know what to belief anymore.

WHAT!? :wow: What's going on with NVC? :ranting:

NVC is currently reviewing packages they scanned up to Aug 1 according to Facebook. Since your scan date is July 31, I had a feeling that they reviewed your package yesterday. If nobody had reviewed your package, how come Jim was able to provide detailed information about the death certificate? :huh2:

I really don't know what to believe. I guess you'll need to wait a little bit more to find out what's going on. Fingers crossed! :star:

You and Soloenta seem to be magnets for NVC retards. It would've been funny if it weren't for the 60-day wait specter. I sincerely hope you two will get knowledgeable and compassionate supervisors.
