Omg omg I think I just recieved a false checklist!!

The NVC has received the requested DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa Application. However, we are still waiting for the response to the checklist letter for the Affidavit of Support. Please return the requested information so that we may complete your case.

When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The bar code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the address provided.

Thank you, you guys are so encouraging. They said it was suppose to be a blank but I filled it with the name of the sponsor-joint and the sponsor paper had my name there! Just extra info !!! Still waiting on checklist. It was I864 ( I have a joint sponsor).

Do you know how long - it takes to receive checklist.........

im confused about what you mean , you said you filled part 3 with co-sponsors name and on co-sponsors name your name ????

part 3 is information on the immigrant(s) you are sponsoring.

Just got off the phone with my husband. I cried my heart out after finding out we got a checklist because I filled in part 3. ITS JUST EXTRA INFO NVC..... Now, my husband is so mad , I could since his rudeness on the phone over the frustration of this. I said I love you, he just said goodnight - so he blame me for this even though he is not saying it. I said, I will come visit before then, he said - its not necessary!!! NVC is killing me.

Just saw MoBar's reply to you and I totally agree with him. Let your husband have some cooling off time. He is just frustrated because he wants to be with you. I was very sad to read your posy. Keep telling him you love him and never doubt that.

I'm not completely sure but I thought I read that the Checklists are being reviewed faster, anyone second this or not?

About 50% of filers get a checklist, but I've seen only 3 cases who got a checklist AND got their checklist documents reviewed in 1-4 weeks since I joined the NVC thread in April. So it doesn't happen that often. :cry:

Maybe their files got pulled out for a training purpose? Maybe because they had a lawyer? I don't know. :huh2:

Step 8 - Review: Checklists and Case Complete

NVC operators are stating 60 calendar days now to review packages. This INCLUDES checklists. So, this means 60 days to review the initial packages and, if you get a checklist, another 60 days to review that once they receive it. This is why it's important to make sure your packages are PERFECT before sending them off.

2014/8/26 - Couriered Singapore Police Certificate to NVC

2014/8/28 - Package delivered to NVC

2014/8/29 - IV checklist scanned in

2014/9/12 - AOS Checklist accepted

2024/10/27 - called NVC to be advised last scanned document is now September 17th, an email I sent early August and they looked at on September 17th.

2014/9/17 - last scanned date. Waiting for a Case Complete.

2014/10/30 - CASE COMPLETE

2014/11/10 - Interview Scheduled

2014/12/23 - Interview - going to try to move up a week but we will see.

2014/12/2 - interview and APPROVED

2014/12/18 - Smooth and quick POE at LAX then onto JFK by domestic

I've met nightingalejules (Julia) in person because we both live in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I'll spend more time with her again once she is done with her interview this Friday. :yes:

I'm meeting another VJ buddy who is coming to Vancouver from Seattle this weekend. :star: I just love meeting new people! :D
