My husband just recieved a snail mail telling us that they updated our mailing address/email address when we didn't change anything. And it was addressed to me. Should I call on Monday to check? I did give them our email addresses on 9th of June. This surely can't be the mail addressing to there months before right? :wow:

Don't worry about it many have gotten those letters but yes call just to be safe. :)

Monday Monday Monday tomorrow folks - another day for...

28265.jpg

Hahahahaha I can see them now and yes finally Monday geeeeeeeeeeeeez it took forever!

I am applying for an expedite sending the email off tomorrow and I am not going to send any documents until I hear from them. Do you guys think that's wise? Because I keep hearing different stories

send to them, don't send to them , wait and give the embassy. So idk

I for one think it's a good idea to keep your documents just in case they approve your expedite. I think in the long run and God willing you get it, it will make life a lot easier for you. :)

l think its better you hold off and wait till you get a response about your expedite before you send in your documents because its unlikely that NVC will be able to dig out your documents and attach to your case file if your expedite is approved.

Would be praying you get your expedite approved ASAP

I think it depends on whether or not it will get expedited or not - did your I-130 get approved for expedite or are you sending out a request just to the NVC? Not from experience but just from reading lots of forum post you could do both (and just do certified copies of your second round of papers to hold onto) because sometimes to get your expedite approved and then you don't have your papers or it doesn't get approved (or takes too long for an answer) and by that time NVC has actually sped through the case.

Currently right now I can say that NVC is not in a place to go through your case prior to you getting expedited so if you are sure you are going to get the expedite approved my suggestion is that you keep all the paperwork and wait.

please l don't understand what you mean by the IV stamp, where is it located?

Sorry... I was referring to the visa foil you get issued after the interview. The case number listed there will have two additional digits. It is confusing since you need the case number and alien number (listed there as well) to create an ELIS account to pay the $165 GC fee. Many people follow USCIS's instructions to the letter and trip there because they mistakenly include the additional digits... that's why I mentioned it.

As mentioned previously, this can be a tricky one to figure out. I was expedited at USCIS with very compelling reasons but despite nothing changing and sending in documentation, my expedite was denied by the London embassy because it was not a 'life or death' situation. Thankfully I applied for expedite soon enough that I didn't really lose anytime by not sending the documents off to NVC.

Have you paid your AOS fee already?

If you do send them you will have to wait for 60 days for them to then be sent to the embassy. However, if you send the documents and then get your expedite approved, you can take an extra copy of those documents to the interview with you, I believe.

I agree and when hubby spoke to operator they gave him the 60 day blah blah.

Just Skyped hubby as he is now awake and he said he thought it was just a standard form and not to worry. Yeah, right!!

It isn't even the IV package it is the IV checklist.

I will call straight away on Monday. Thanks for your support.

I did not request it at uscis stage

Two months ago my mother moved in with me and by then I was already four months into the process and my mom is very ill and unable to do things for herself anymore. So I am now her primary and only caregiver. Her doctor did give us a letter stating all that was wrong and that she can no longer care for herself and that I was her caregiver. And well it is not my life or death, it is hers. obviously is caused him great deal of emotional stress but I also had to cut my hours down to five or six a week. Anyway I am not sure what they will say. Enough whining

Because I am not sorry that I have my mom. And never will I be. It's actually been really nice having her here laughing with her talking with her. I just wish it wasn't for this reason.

So anyhow, I just received my NOA2 and have yet to do anything else. So I haven't sent any papers in and I haven't been given a case number either. So I was thinking I would hang onto the papers until I have a decision from them. Pray for us especially my mama!

:)

How is everyone? Hope you are all having a good weekend and ready for some CC this week!!! I know there are a few of you who will be getting one soon!

As for me, it is Monday here in Oz and I have a day off. I am trying to gather all of our documents for my husband to take to his interview next month. We can't really afford to both fly to Sydney for it, so I have to trust that he knows where everything is (since I am the one who has done ALL of the paperwork up to this point, he wouldn't even know what an AOS was if they asked him). So, I am labelling everything in a folder so hopefully he can find it if/when they ask for it. I think I must be a control freak! I am seriously considering going with him….

And, right now he is being poked and prodded at his medical. Poor guy has a fear of doctors and needles. I was worried he just wouldn't go to the appointment, but he has already called me asking what his case number is so I know he arrived.

I will be praying for you, my situation is basically the same. I had to come back from Egypt to take care of both my parents (I also don't regret this) because they also are no longer able to talk care of each other. Every Embassy is different so I have hope they will grant you the expedite but the Egyptian Embassy notorious for it's nastiness refused me twice. Just keep in mind them might refuse you but you have a lot of people her praying for you. God bless you and your beautiful mother. :) (F)(L)(F)

Hahahaa hi Amanda lovely to see you and I fear the same thing when it's my husbands time, God willing heheheeeee. He doesn't fear needles but he wants me with him and it most likely will be impossible unless I win the lotto. (F) (L) (F)
