Hey guys I have a question.

I called NVC today and was told that I didn't have to translate the police certificate and that I didn't need military records for my husband because on the reciprocity page it's listed as unavailable or unknown.

Is this true that the police certificate doesn't have to be translated?

And does anyone have any experience or concerns with military records that they can share with me?

Thanks guys!!!

Marriage: 12/10/2013
Sent I-130: 1/23/14
NOA1: 1/30/14
NOA2: 6/10/14
Email that it was shipped to nvc: 6/23/14
Received by NVC: 7/1/14
Case#/IID# assigned: 7/16/14
Received/Submitted DS-261: 7/29/14
Paid AOS fee: 7/30/14
Sent AOS packet: 8/1/14
Aos fee showing PAID: 8/2/14
Received and paid IV Fee: 9/8/14 (fee showing paid / DS-260 available 9/9/14)
Submitted DS-260: 9/11/14
Sent IV packet: 9/24/14
NVC Received 9/26/14

Arrived in US: 3/8/14

STILL HAPPY AND NORMAL AS OF 8/4/2016!!

AOS Approved per phone: 10/22/14
*Received what I thought was a false checklist on this date as well*

*Problems: Called on 10/27/14 11/5/14 and 11/20/14 just to be proactive On all of these dates except the last, NVC kept telling me that my IV document probably hadn't been reviewed yet. On 11/20 the representative told me that the BC needed to be inextensa and the marriage license. True enough I had sent an extracto. But requested a supervisor review bc I knew the marriage lic was inextensa. 2 days later called again and got the same supervisor who told me that the marriage lic needed the proper signed legalizada (sticker on the back)

Sent necessary documents/Received: 11/20/14 and 11/26/14

Called 12/15/14: got Arthur....after he checked and verbally spanked he sent me to supervisor Silvia who said she would pull my file and try to figure it out.

Case complete: 12/19/14 Sylvia called and left a voicemail, called and confirmed later that night and status changed to N/A.

Thank you so much Sylvia. May God bless you and your family.

Appointment date and time received: 12/27/14

Yeah, I guess we can only see. My gut instinct tells me it's a good thing -- which is weird because I never think positively. The contractor also won a USCIS contract so they seem to be speeding up.

Fingers crossed. You need to hurry up and receive your case complete!!

I am dying for a December interview but that is probably impossible unless NVC really speeds up. :ranting:

Much love.

I'm really pissing myself off, lost all my multiquotes hahahaa ok here we go again.

Always go with your gut instinct, I'm sure your right but I just don't trust them but God willing your right. :D Thank you so much praying we all get out of immigration soon and back to our normal lives.

Ok here goes.. on the 864ez I'd like to avoid chk lists. Can anyone help ?

Can I leave Info on preparer blank since it was prepared by myself ? Or do NA?

He has no middle name or postal code can I leave blank or do NA

Name of second employer for me- na or blank

Lastly, just double chking

I did NOT file 1040ez so I WILL be using my total income not AGI or W2 income (think it's line 22 on taxes can't recall) correct?

Thanks in advance :)

Ps. I will sign in black ink

Pls. For some reason when I click box 19 that I filed taxes the optional button underneath for sending in prior two yrs automatically chks too. Any idea why? And since they want this thing typed, I'm not sure if I should leave it blank while filling it out and then after printing it use a pen to mark in the one box or what?

I'm Not sending the extra years

I left NOTHING blank nothing and you will have to hand write in N/A in some because it wont let you do it otherwise. I also signed in both blue and black but the rest I can't help you or I promise you will get check listed. :D

I just checked the CEAC site and it still shows "PAID". :dead:

I have 10 more days until my 60th day (Sept 22nd)! Sololenta has an earlier scan date (July 24th) than mine (July 25th), but my package arrived at NVC earlier so my received date is July 22nd.

We'll most likely hear something next week. :star:

Hahaaa same here you little brat.gif!  I would love you to get CC before me, wouldn't mind one bit :) why, because your my friend. :Dt5063.gif

Hi soloenta, is there any good news?

No sugar, I called but nothing yet.

Miracles happen, who knows you both might get a CC tonight or on Monday. Fingers crossed for you and Soloenta.

Would be so nice, wonder what the average wait has been lately to get CC.

This might be Embassy/Country specific, for me everything had to be translated the good thing is that in Egypt most things are available in both Arabic and English. You might want to post this on Saylin's thread. Geeeeeeeeez wish I had posted it on the first page but they you know it already. :D

I for one rather be safe than sorry if you can get the document and there in Spanish have them translated. But if there right then there is no need.

Hi to everyone!!

Thanks to soloenta and this ranting and whining thread I´ve decided to write to the American Ambassador to Spain. I read some of you have written to their Senator and/or Congressman for getting involved in their cases. Because I have no Senator o Congressman here in Madrid (I am the beneficiary) and the embassy here going to process my visa I am, going to rant and whine to the American Ambassador here (politely to try to get any result). I will let you know if he is sensitive to this eternal waiting....

My police certificate was in english so I didn't get to translate it. If am in your position, I think I'll just send everything in, just in case. I don't trust NVC because they are notorious for giving conflicting info.

I'm here because I want to share my frustration about this process, yesterday I received a checklist concerning my birth certificate, I just went nuts because that's the certificate that the consulate here requests, a call later, I just found out my family didn't sent the certified copy I gave to them, they just sent a scanned photocopy, and today they're sending the real one, another 60 days for me, I thought september was my month.

Am so sorry about that. How I wish they can allow you take the original to the interview. Its just crazy waiting another 60days just to review a piece of paper, OMG its so annoying :protest:

When was your scan date? (or what date did NVC receive your IV package)? :huh2:

My scan date was 16th of July, took 55 days until review.

Also I have responded to an AOS checklist with date of 29th of July, let's hope this time at least AOS goes through.

I have a random thought, wouldn't be easier for the NVC, speaking logistically, reviewing checklist as soon as posible than sending to another 60 day line? I mean, therefore they can get rid of cases, and if the issue is the consulate workload, I wouldn't mind waiting this 2 months knowing I will have an interview rather than waiting for NVC to review my docs. :clock:

Hi everyone. I'm totally bushed tonight. I was going to call NVC to find out the scan date for my IV package, but I've been so depressed I can't even muster the energy to do it. I should be happy I'm near the end of the process, but I think I'm just really worn out from waiting so long.

I keep thinking if it weren't for the backlogs, I'd be in the US right now. I just don't wanna call NVC and get someone talk to me like I'm an idiot. I've already spent all day on a time management course at work where I was treated like an idiot for being a "right-brained" person with no organisational or planning skills...

I can't even fully commit myself to my work anymore. Since the beginning of this year, everyone at work has known I'd be leaving "in a few months" so I haven't been as involved with things and get left out. I got recommended for a pay rise by my line manager in April, but her manager said no because we can't afford it, then gave pay rises to his finance team -_- I guess he said no since I'm leaving so it's not worth rewarding me. I wish I hadn't said anything now since it's taken so long and it's just awkward at work. Every month I'm still there they're like "I thought you were leaving o_O"

The company is heading in a bad direction anyway with dubious business practices. It's getting stressful and I just want to leave! I feel like I've been on the brink of leaving, but can't quite make my escape because the backlogs just get bigger and I need to save money before I do eventually leave. Knowing my luck, the London embassy will get backlogged next.

And that is my rant for today :jest:

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

That's kinda my situation too, every month someone appears and says things like "Thought you left/leaving", and there is the fact they don't understand the process and the backlog, when I say I have to wait 60 more days they say something like "Uuuh, I think you're not leaving", "I think this thing of yours isn't going to work out", "You're leaving next year", sometimes I think my worst mistake was to tell everybody that I planned to leave, not because they're bad persons, but later that person in a random conversation someone says "Oh he's leaving to the US", and suddenly without knowing, a large group of people builds expectations about you, and then the discouragement part repeats, and so on, but I'm cured of that issue, eventually will come, so cheers.

“You have to die a few times before you can really live.”
