I have no idea but I definitely think that it's worth it to take the time to make it known. Send an email and maybe even take the time to call one day just to ask for a supervisor and let them know. I would think that if a supervisor got that compliment they would let Rick know about it and maybe they even have merit awards or employee of the month or something. I'm sure it would make Rick's day, make a supervisor beam and hopefully give them a reason to be extra helpful for at least a few hours that day.

I had the same experience with Jim, he was awesome!!! I'm going to find a way to let them know, probably when I call to ask for a supervisor to look at my DS261 that still isn't approved. :-)

I agree, I rarely complain they have to be realllllllllllly horrible but I also like to compliment those that deserve it. Don,Jim, Gus and a few others deserve to know they are appreciated by those they help.

Oh wow , I live by henry mayo hospital, they are always looking for respiratory therapists. Hope the drive will not be to bad. Just get on the 5north and exit on mcbean parkway. oh I can' t wait to meet you, my Poe will be Atlanta , then a connecting flight to lax. I am not scared to go near the border, this journey alone is much scarier. I hope your eyes are fine now. I had my daughter at habor/ UCLA hospital, in Torrance. I hope you have kids soon, your cat would be very jealous

Hummm what city is that in? But can't work right now maybe in the future and there aren't many of us anymore, it's not an easy job. I remember RN's complaining that we did nothing but talk and never showed up when they called us. Hahahaa my supervisor had a brilliant idea, have the RN's follow us for a week. Hahhaaa by the end of the second day most of them were in tears they had no idea what we did and how far we walked a day. The complaints stopped.

I'm not afraid of the boarder just not good to be that close things happen that aren't very nice. But I'm sure they have it under control. Awww thank you hahaa I have four cats all rescues two from the USA two from the streets of Cairo they are Egyptian Maus .

I need more surgery for my eyes so I can read again without glasses then once I use glasses my vision is really messed up. If I win the lotto then soon.

i recieved an email today checklist cover letter in the email it says they havent recieved my i864 or some of them pages were missing i dont get it i mailed them each and everything properly covered in a file thru fedex i am reallly stressing out they have all my original documents how can they say they havent rec it yet. 2 months ago i received an email from them saying they have rec my doucments and its under review now and due to high number of cases they will reply me in 60 days

please guys i am really stressing out any help would be highly appreciated

NVC is horrible right now I hear. Will they get all this worked out soon or is this backlog going to go on for a long long time before any progress is made?

Hello and welcome, I actually think they are getting better not worse. I think they are starting to catch up, slowly but moving in the right direction so God willing it will be soon.

Kanuk, I feel for you as one time green card holder having to go through the process again.

I am petitioning for my mother, who also had a green card and lived in the States for 5+ years but never got US citizenship. She went back home and stayed busy with house repairs, dental surgeries, etc. and as a result she overstayed her 12 months. Since she is retired, it was not an issue for us, but it turned out to be a huge issue once she wanted to return to the US. Now she has to go through the process again. In the meantime, she has not been able to see me either get married, or have a baby - her first grandchild. She was refused a tourist visa since she did not meet the intent to immigrate requirement. And since her dental surgeries and house repairs were "within her control" she was not deemed eligible as a returning resident. My husband and I are expecting again and I hope mom will get to see my belly this time around. It has taken us over a year to go through this process and we are still not done with it.

Lets hope so! But as far as getting them to actually receive the files are getting later and later. At least it gives us time to make sure that we are following the new processes and not the older one. -- Hopefully they are all 'qualified' to sift through people who sent in two packages and who sent in one...

Would you happen to know the new process or what they are doing differently then before? I'm just curious

The new away I believe is you will pay for the AOS and IV fees together since you will now be sending both packages together and they will be reviewed in the same way.

The old way you had to wait for the AOS fee then fill that out send it wait for the IV fee to come due pay that and now a days that is taking forever 60 calendar days or less. So it saves you time if and only if you don't get any checklists. Not really sure if it will be better in the long run who knows. But hears hoping.

I have been shocked by the attitudes of some people on the NVC thread. So many people love to hide behind their computers and be mean -- it makes them feel powerful in a life where they probably have none.

Awww no your not just being honest there is a huge difference. Thank you so much for the support and I hope you feel at home here, this thread belongs to us all so feel free to express yourself.

I must say I was very disappointed, I thought I had friends there but many kept quiet with few exceptions like EOC4ever. There was only one I really expected to step up but didn't and a few that I didn't expect backed those negative people but you live and learn. Onward and upward.

I too am going through the green card process again because my time outside of the US was not beyond my control (despite studying on a federal student loan and filing taxes). It is a horrible feeling being kept out of the country one has made home. I hope things hurry along for you.

Oops. I should have multi-quoted. I hear you. I have a husband of 6 years and a daughter I had in the US. I lived in the US for 4 years and this is my second GC journey. Everything I own is back in the US, even my bank accounts. It's horrible. My husband is leaving us to go back to the US because he is not allowed to stay here, meanwhile my daughter is begging him to stay. Damn immigration laws and the breaking up of families!

Why? Rant here and people it's time to think US Citizenship it holds a lot of perks and it can't take away where you were born.

Yeah I just saw it now where the CO said October is fully booked. I just hope NVC continues with a fast speed and get all cases completed.
