Essentially Amnesty a one off, he said later it was his biggest mistake.

Many more applied than were anticipated and it is still working its way though.

I have no idea how you can sell it as being a one off clear it up situation, nothing suggests that it would just not be another repeat.

After all you then need to replace all those who are doing jobs those legally here do not want to do.

This will never happen.

Never say never.

Dems see this as locking in their votes for a generation.

But LPRs can't vote, right? Unless you mean citizens who want this to happen would vote Dem, though I think they would anyway if they have that kind of mindset.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Don't worry, coming soon from a throne near you! ...issuance of an Executive Order allowing Democrat LPR's to vote.

Whether it's a Greencard or Citizenship, it's a smack in the face those of us that followed the laws already in place.

:ranting:

Completely agree and I hope it never happens. If they couldn't respect our laws from the moment they stepped onto our land, why should they be given a free pass while the rest of us sit on our butts following procedures legally and paying a ton for the privilege.

That I think is the main issue, vote for me because of Amnesty will only work for so long. Or donate money same deal, enthusiasm will wain.

LPR's often become USC's and can vote.

I do not understand how any legal immigrant support this stuff.

Most illegal is not going to pay tax and will collect benefit. $ will have to come form somewhere and it will be from my and your pocket.

Now a days it is beneficiary if you just become illegal. Just to give you example.

Guy hit my car from side. My car was completely done/gone. He was illegal. Cop says he can't do anything can't even write ticket because address might not be even correct.

My insurance paid for damage. I have to pay deductible. My premium goes higher.

Guy just walk out. Called his another illegal pal and drive out.

This is happening all over the place accident/robbery/rape/murder and you can't do anything to them as they don't have any paperwork. I can't understand how someone will be supporting this.

And please do not tell me by giving paper to them you are going to eliminate this problem. it will become worse.

As a dem, no. It's not enough of a big issue.

I meant the Party, I am sure not all will agree but the strategists and leaders seem to have a different view.
