38 Men Raped in U.S. Military Each Day

While most of the fire from the public and Congress directed at the military addresses women who are sexually assaulted, more than half of victims are male. According to the Pentagon, 38 military men are sexually assaulted every single day, and because of the stigma, culprits nearly always go free because the survivors don’t want to speak. As one Veterans Affairs psychologist notes, "One of the myths is that the perpetrators identify as gay, which is by and large not the case. It's not about the sex. It's about power and control."

Not true. We discussed this topic a while back. A boy at school was made to suck the penises of other boys.

There has also been cases of young boys at school sodomizing other boys. It is not VJ doesn't discuss this but America doesn't. This is also a hard topic for men and boys to discuss. People don't really warn their young boys about being raped and men never worry about it until it is time for them to go to jail.

That's so true culture-wide in the U.S. Also the perception that men are the domestic violence perps and women are victims.

So anyway, back to the OP. 38 per year. Some might call that a good start.

Now just consider if I had said that about women rape victims. I am doing it to make a point. That people's reactions are probably to laugh, when men are the victims.

Now I know I am splitting hairs here, but what is the definition of sexual assault vs. rape in the military. Does this include hazing incidents that are sexual in nature?
