My Timeline isn't updating status, what did I do wrong?

Hello everyone!

So, I got approved for AOS (yay!) Got the card in the mail too, so I'm all set! Now I tried to update this on my VJ timeline - I put in all the dates (approval, card received, etc) and indicated that my case was approved and completed. But the timeline isn't updating to reflect this new status. I don't have the nice box-arrow charts that other members have, indicating their process (mine is only for the visa I got years ago). And my status still says "AOS(pending)" instead of "AOS(approved)"

So out of pure technical curiosity - what am I doing wrong? How to fix it? I know I shouldn't be worrying about it, since, in real life, everything is ok. But I MUST know!

Are you also updating your profile? That is where the updates that show when you post are updated. The timeline is a separate feature that you have to open up to see. So, if you haven't updated your profile as well, open up your profile and click on edit. That will give you the options you need to update your status in your profile. Then, just save them and you should see the changes on your public profile as well. Unfortunately, the Timeline and Profiles are not automatically linked so you need to update each one individually.

Btw - Congratulations on the approval!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Yay, thank you! I had completely overlooked that. Now I just... don't have those arrow charts on my timeline. Oh well, I can live with that :) Thanks a lot!
