IR-1 / CR-1 Visa: Evidence of a Bona Fide Marriage

Hello all, I'm not sure what to file for this section. We have no children nor do we own any assets together. We have never had a "A lease showing joint tenancy of a common residence" or a shared bank account. What can I use for this section? Is it extremely important that I include something from this area? What constitutes "Any other relevant documentation to establish that there is an ongoing marital union"?

Thank you so much.

P.S. I have a full length DVD video of our marriage in the Philippines plus the reception. Would this be something I should include?

Everybody here has different experience in this topic.

There are plenty of threads where this topic has been discussed. Even i had asked same question.

The more evidence the better and stronger the case is.

Good luck

I am very interested in the responses to this because I am in the same boat as you are.

I plan on sending photos of us with the date and location written on them, dated email communications, plane ticket records of trips we took together, and then sign affidavits of family/friends. Does anyone think it is possible to send too many pieces of evidence?

My dear friend it took us almosy month to collect all docx. We had 29 different evidence to proove we are couple and the entire document sent was of 149 pages.

We sent photos, emails, phone bill, marriage certificate, reconized marriage certificate in boulder county, affidivit, visa copies, plane tickets, joint bank account, joint condo deed, join insurance, retirement plans joint, congrats letter, cards from friends and family, summery of our love story and how we got married etc etc

Send them the best docx which shows u guys are married and sharing life together.

U dont want RFE coz that delays the process.

Good luck

Don't send the DVD. I doubt they'd watch it and a several pictures would have the same effect of showing you did have a wedding party.

I included passport scans showing the border crossing stamps for trips when we were spending time together, photos from trips, tickets' copies, gift receipts for birthday gifts. Of course you can do telephone bills and such, friends' affidavits (we did those but they don't really have a lot of weight).

I'm the beneficiary.

Don't have a timeline? Don't know how to get started with it? Do it for the statistics sake: VJ video guide

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.
