Are you a USC? I just want to make sure because only USC's can petition parents and the wait for the children will be longer. If you are, then ok. Also, yes it's perfectly fine to send both at the same time and same envelope.

Ok, that's great. So since you are a USC you are definitely able to petition both now and at the same time. I'm not sure if they would be interviewed at the same time, but hopefully yes. It should take the same amount of time since both are IR's of a USC.

Also since your daughter is under 18, she will not need an affidavit of support when the time comes, just an I-864W, although she will still need to be counted in your household size when you do your mom's I-864.

Plus, she will become a USC upon entry and can apply for a US passport right away so you won't have to pay the $165 immigrant fee.

Please keep in mind that since they are two separate cases, you want to clip the docs for each case separately, therefore, your mom's docs attached to her petition and your daughter's docs to hers to avoid any confusion.

I'm not sure if you have to send two separate checks or you can include both fees in one. It probably is either or, but I personally would send two separate checks just in case, for $420 each.
