Also, another question! :)

It seems the Frankfurt embassy requires certified translations for all documents not in english or german. (we have several in spanish and italian)

Has anyone had any experience with this? Do I really need to go to a translator? Most other CR-1 in other places (at least as far as my research has shown) don't require certified translations...

I think with DCF and a low fraud embassy, it will not matter much. You can go to the interview together and you can bring more evidence then. I wouldn't worry about it.

For the USCIS stage you can do the translations yourself, but unfortunately I think documents in any other languages other than English/German require a professional translation at the NVC stage.

Not yet. :( Guess we got a little unlucky as far as this Frankfurt DCF stuff goes. It's technically been only 23 days or less (when you add in the processing time it probably takes for them to receive the package by mail, scan it through security and then add it to the pile) that it's been processing, so I shouldn't be so impatient. I just wanna go home, though.

Nevermind! I always told my family 23 was my lucky number! Checked my email today and they said they got the missing documents and approved my petition 3 days ago...I'm like an excited dog. :dancing:

Hey everyone! hope youre all doing good.

I sent the package 3 with all the documentation to the embassy on wednesday last week, and it's still not delivered...

I sent it with Deutsche Post with tracking, but it's stuck on "in delivery" since friday.

Does anyone know if there are any special security procedures at the embassy, or any reason why it would take so long to be delivered?

I'm a bit nervous because all the original documents are in that package....

When it reads "in delivery/in Zustellung" it means they still have it listed as being in the possession of the courier (in their car or whatever), otherwise it'd read "was signed by..../wurde zugestellt an...." so you should go to the Deutsche Post immediately and ask them to trace it themselves because nothing takes that long to deliver in Germany, even with Saturday having been a public holiday. My stuff always makes it to its destination within 24 hours.

In 70 days you got from NOA1 to Interview.... are you a troll?

I don't believe you because also you set your Consulate in Italy, but you live in Germany.

Hey, that happend to me too over a weekend (sent out thurday) end and i kept checking everyday and on a wednesday it was updated to recieved saturday... So i guess they dont update it all the time -.-

Yeah, they haven't needed nearly that long for me, but the shortest amount of time they took to update one status was like 45 minutes. It's either super slow to update or doesn't update for hours/days. Hope they fix that soon!

Hello to all.

The letter was delivered on a timely manner, it just never got updated on the website (It still says "In Zustellung")

Anyways, this was a while ago, since then, we had the interview at the consulate (which was very chill) and everything went well, so now we are just waiting for the medical exam results to get to the consulate (they could not approve the visa yet, since they don't have this). Hopefully this will be fast.

I wanted to thank everyone who wrote and helped! I'll be writing a post detailing all the process soon.

Stressed out, how are you doing? do you have an interview date yet?

Camelott, I don't know if you are talking to me or what?, I never had Rome set as my embassy. But yea, 70 days isn't even all that fast. If I would have had the packet 3 ready as soon as they contacted me, it could have been done even quicker. Notice that this is DCF, not the regular process.
