green card name incorrect

Hi guys!I received my green card today.Yay!Unfortunately my first name for example is Mary Rose and what they put is Mary R!!I understand I may need to file the i-90 form because of a uscis error but can i show this to my employer?Im sure the everify will result to a mismatch.The green card letter was addressed to my complete name and at the back of the greencard is the barcode that shows my complete name too but not in front.Very ridiculous I cant calm down.lol I also had an issue with SAVE when i applied at ssa too,had my middle name "bundled" with my first name.Ssc now matches my legal name but now,green card will give me a hard time too.Whew!

You have to file the I 90 for an error, Make copies first , your passport stamp should still be good for employment hopefully they get is right next time.

This is so frustrating I was very excited to get it all done and relax til ROC.Do you have an idea how long the replacement takes?Thanks a lot!

So Mary Rose is your first name, and they didn't include your middle initial?

I ask because I believe it is standard practice to show just the middle initial (that's my wife's case on her EAD, at least).

That is right,Mary Rose is the first name and P should be the middle initial.Will there be problems if i just keep it til ROC?The bar code at the back shows my full legal name with full middle name though.

Thank you sweetcakes!We called uscis just now and was told to wait for their call within 15 days.They probably just gonna tell me to file -90 or maybe just keep it til roc haha

You're welcome, girl! Perhaps they just want to see who made an error down the line?!

Personally, I would have it corrected now rather than later, because it acts as our primary ID here. Hope they sort it out soon!

I know!I checked all my forms, receipts and docus and nowhere has mary r in them so it should be free!Haha But thankfully i have time to show my card to my employer next week.

My Wife had the exact same problem!!

Instead of (example) Mary Rose, Perez, Smith, Her Green card arrived showing

Mary, RosePerez, Smith as her name. Or Mary R. Smith on the front.

We didn't notice it until we went to get the Drivers License and they ran the SAVE check also. We made an infopass appt, had her passport stamped, and the people did indicate that they were seeing many of these issues.

Filled out the I-90 and included some documents that showed USCIS it was clearly their mistake -- so no charge to us.

Make a scan/ copy of both sides of the Green card before returning it with the I-90. Beware the I-90 form and be sure to check all applicable boxes. Don't miss one or else they will return it in a few weeks

After refiling on 12/16/2013 we received a biometrics appt for 7/7/14 and had the card by 7/20/14 just in time to remove conditions (8/1/14)

Thanks a lot for this!Called them earlier and they said somebody will call me within 15 days and i am sure they will just tell me to send i-90.Lol I will make a lot of copies and fortunately my i551 and passport stamp is good until july of next year so hopefully my corrected green card will be here before then or else i have to get a new stamp which is so much of a hassle.The name at back shows my correct name though so i dont get why they cant do it correctly the first name.grrrrr so annoying lol Thanks a lot for the information
