Can someone help?

I know, I know, I have been asking so many questions but since my interview is getting closer and closer, I am just freaking out a bit more by the day.

For those who already have their K1 Visas approved, do any of you have anxiety disorder? I have had anxiety disorder since I was 7 and am on medication for it. I'm not harmful or anything like that .. all that happens is that I get nervous and feel sick to my stomach if I'm in a situation that makes me nervous. Basically, I get a panic attack. However, since I am on medication, I really don't get them anymore. I mentioned my anxiety disorder at my medical exam and it was written down.

What worries me is that on the USCIS website they state that if you have a mental disorder you may be denied a visa. I am worried that they are going to have a problem with the fact that I have anxiety issues.

I think if it were a problem the doctor at the physical would have told you. Even then, it's generally easy to fix by getting a note from your psychiatrist or doctor that says you aren't a threat to yourself or others. But it sounds like you passed just fine.

Really? Ok, that gives me some sort of comfort. He didn't tell me anything about it. I have never heard of anyone with anxiety being a threat to themselves or anyone else. Thanks for the reply!

I dont think an anxiety disorder would hurt you here. I think they are looking for those that are more likely to be a threat to themselves or others. An anxiety disorder doesn't fall into that category. Relax and try not to worry...it will be fine.

Yeah. I was thinking that they are perhaps looking for people who are schizophrenic or may have MPD. Being that I have anxiety disorder, I am now worrying about this. LOL

LOL! I can imagine. I will have a panic attack next week when i go to my interview. The day I took the train to Berlin to get my exam, I felt sick to my stomach the entire time until it was over. I hate it! LOL

I was nervous very much....but one single mistake can make a big loss. So be very confident for the Interview..Pray about it...all will be good

I have had exactly the same problem, I put it in my medical record too. I have my K-1 now. So no worries ...

LOL, you're scaring me! One mistake such as what kind of mistake?

Yes, well right now I'm ok, I have learn how to control it most of the time ( basically going to the gym everyday for one hour and a half ). I use to have problems eating, but now I'm ok.
