At least four women have been attacked on or around the University of Florida campus in Gainesville over the last two weeks, according to campus police.

The signature of the attempted assaults is the same: The victims are white, in their early 20s and describe the suspect as a white male (captured on surveillance video, which has been released by police) who has attacked them from behind. All of the women were able to escape by either fighting off the attacker or having him flee when bystanders approached to help.

One of the incidents occurred this past Sunday, around 8:45 p.m. ET, when the 20-year-old victim was leaving a campus library. She was grabbed from behind, according to police, who said she was able to kick her attacker until he ran away.

The social media reaction from on and around campus shows a community scared about when another attack might happen:

It's awesome how that works. If I eat junk instead of wholesome food the day before a big exercise regiment, it makes a huge difference. Too much salt, too much fat.
