I'd love to act like they're to be cool............ but realistically, I use them for running and the black socks tend to last longer as they don't gross me out as quick. Ya know?

Yup, I still can't do it. Black socks or any other color socks are "dress socks". I remember when wearing any other color sneaker than white was for geeks and weirdos.

Remember wearing gym shorts over sweats?

Runners still do that - if you're wearing running tights you sort of need something over the top unless you want the whole world to see your knackers.

I've seen that once or twice. When I was a kid we wore the shorts over regular sweatpants and we wore underwear under the sweats, so there was no chance of a misplaced bulge. It was just a weird trend that caught on for some reason.

How bout the knee high white socks with the shorts that were just a little too short?

Or those shorts!? No, that was never a good look.

It's almost like adults dressing as children (shudder)
