Hey all- Does the NVC change consulates themselves? My fiance used to live in Noida (close to Delhi) and then moved to Pune (close to Mumbai) as of the past 6 months. His parents live near Mumbai (and that's his permanent and mailing address). We listed New Delhi as the consulate, but when I got the case number they gave me a Mumbai number. I'm cool with the number and Mumbai consulate, just wanted to know if its happened to anyone else or if its ok they do that.

When my husband and I tried for the K-1 route, we thought he would go to the Delhi Consulate because Patna was closer to Delhi then Mumbai and we put Delhi on the application. After it was approved we found out it went to Mumbai because they covred over Bihar state. It seems it goes by the address you put on the application.
