I got my NOA1 hardcopy in the mail yesterday with a priority date of August 28th 2014. When I was looking over this letter I noticed that under beneficiaries country of birth they have Jordan??? I filled the I-130 with country of birth as Palestine as listed on his birth certificate. I have an exact copy of everything I sent in and just to double check I went over my copies and it does say Palestine. Anyone filling for a spouse from Palestine had this happen? Do I need to call and have them fix it?

Call USCIS and correct it now.

I called USCIS today and told that the information was correct she told me the only way I can get it fixed is to send a letter with supporting documents to the service center my case has been sent to. So if I am understanding this correctly I have to write a letter to the NSC and tell them his country of birth is incorrect and send a copy of his birth certificate with is as supporting evidence.

  • 2 weeks later...

khayrishalhoub I called the USCIS number and asked to speak to a tier two rep told them that the country of birth was listed as Jordan but is supposed to be Palestine. They said they will fix the issue and they inform me within 14 days or by October 1st. So now I'm just waiting. This seems to be happening a lot with Palestine I know 4 other people whom had the same issue and all being listed as Jordan for country of birth. I recommend you calling and getting it fixed!!! Good Luck!
