I submitted the i-129F in the beginning of june 2014 and based on April & May 2014 filers processing time through the CSC California Service Center of the USCIS, I was expecting maybe 20-40 days.

Well it ended up being 70 days and mid Aug before the USCIS approved the petition and sent it forward.

From all indications I got the slowdown at the CSC for the i-129F pertitions was due to some other work load likely being shifted over to them and they are not able to refuse.

So don't take it personal or assume it means the worst because the process is going slow.

BOTH the petitioner and the benificiarry need to keep their spirits up.

I saw that your petition was transfered from the Texas service center. I am assuming because it is so backed up that would take beyond the 5 month since filing time to process you there.

While I would have not preferred to have waited 70 days for the USCIS to process the petition, I have read how petitions at other service centers like Texas have had to wait up to 5 months!

So it is hard for me to complain too hard knowing people wait much longer than I did. Actually I am even taking the attitude that I am fortunate because didn't even require a request for more evidence!

Good Luck and keep the spirits up!

What is SRC? Which center is that ? And how can I know the center processing my case? And how will I know we're my case has being transfer to?

Hi, I received that same message on August 11th and a couple of days later I found out that my case was transferred to California service center. I believe this had to do with the Texas service center being so back logged. The good news is that the transferred cases will be processed faster than if they remained in Texas. But unfortunately none of us really know how long it will take. I've seen some transfers approved within a week and several are being approved daily, so it's only a matter of time before they get to us.

SRC represents the Texas service center

CSC represents California service center

You should have received a letter after the case was transferred. If not, you can call USCIS and find out. If you were originally in Texas than most likely you were transferred to California like myself and many others.
