Due to health issue my sister needs to postpone Visa interview.

Is it doable? What is the process?

Maximum how many month I can get postpone? Do I have to call NVC or she need to called local US Embassy ?

Interview date is 7th OCt.

Since she has an interview date, she'd need to email the embassy to postpone the interview.

She needs to provide case number and her last name in the subject line along side with request to postpone interview and provide further details on her case (full name, DOB, case number again), interview date scheduled and for how long she'd request the interview to be postponed. Then I think consular would let her know when her next interview date will be.

I'd say don't do the medical exam until she knows the next interview date - affects the time how long the immigrant visa is good for based on the medical exam in some/most countries.

i think it is better to call NVC rather than emailing it since the interview of your sister is in less than a month and nvc takes more than that time to reply to the email.Upon calling, the situation will come under their notice and you can then follow what they tell you on the phone. But i doubt if you will be able to choose the month of interview according to your convenience.

I called NVC here but they says we have to contact US embassy in UK for rescheduling.
