Ok...as we move forward with this IR2 thing, the questions will be-a-flying.

My wife's daughter is 6 years old, and, I assume, will not be flying herself to Manila and just showing up at the embassy for an interview. Is there a facility to have someone represent 'us' there in the event we can't go? I guess a family member would be ok to accompany her there and to the medical? Is there a form they would need to have filled out?

yes.....it is a requirement that an adult will accompany your stepdaughter. We are also currently petitioning my 7 year old stepson. My wife's mother will be taking him to his medical exam and his interview at the embassy.

thank you David & Goliath. I have the form from the Philippines Consulate for Power of Attorney to get her passport. Is there anything required for the adult to accompany her to the medical and embassy?

I don't believe so......as long as they have the interview letter for your stepdaughter the guard will let them in.

Yeah, we are a ways off also.....just received NOA 1 for the I-130 yesterday.
