need help please regarding nvc

hello everyone,

i received an email saying due to high number of immigration cases they will review my documents and will give me an interview date within 60 days

stating that they received my documents on 15 JULY 2014 so today is 8 SEP 2014 and its almost 60 days but i haven't received anything from nvc

i am just worried why is it taking so long ?????? is anyone else going thru the same thing ????? should i call nvc ??

would really appreciate any help or guidance

You didn't know your embassy was closed for some time and now they are backlogged. has nothing to do with NVC they can schedule if the embassy doesn't give them slots to schedule.

I would contact embassy see if they are up and going (should be seen interviews lately happening).Always check the embassy website for closures and such. Sorry for the long wait but security is always first.

NVC received my docs, june 26 as per letter they sent the infamous 60 days review time, and after 60 days, no news from them. Oh well, sept 2 my husband called them and got the good news, case complete and asked him just to wait for the interview to be scheduled. Until now, no letter from them about the case complete though.

Hi AKAMAKAVELI, Mine too am waiting, but remember when they say 60 days, they mean 60 business days . so InshALLAH you will get your answer this week or next day.

55 calendar days – 17 days skipped: Excluded 8 Saturdays Excluded 8 Sundays Excluded 1 holiday:

It seems that K1 visas are being pushed through and others are not based off of what i was told on the phone when i called them.

Yes K1's are in and out within 30 to 60 days if not faster.

thank you guys really appreciate all the advice i just doesnt understand one thing a friend of mine applied for immigration the same month as i did

his wife is an greencard holder and my wife is a us citizen us passport holder our case is still in process and my friend is even done with his interview just couple

a days back dont know maybe its just luck anyways i hope everyone gets thru this process asap thank you all :)
