Your best bet is finding an American girlfriend or getting a student visa to study in the U.S. Other than that, you will need a PHD or maybe you could find a company that needs a Greek language specialist. If younp improve your English skills, maybe you could be marketable as a translator. Hope, that helps.

Have you looked into the UK? If you are looking for more opportunities I've heard many continental Europeans are flocking their for economic reasons.

Yeah, getting a visa for restaurant work is kind of difficult. Also studying in culinary school is not cheap in the US and you can't work while you are a student. You are right about many Americans wanting such jobs.

UK is a good place for you or if you want to make some decent money look at Australia. They actively give visas to cooks and restaurant workers, because such skills are in demand there.

If you type LOL after each sentence no one will take you serious here. Plus, what is so funny? Anyway, yes, your uncle can file a petition for work, but chances are super slim you'll get it as you're not like super qualified by any means. He could pick up every second person to work in his restaurant, no need to hire someone from abroad. So as you said "LOL" it will be a waste of money. Suggest you to consider UK or other European country. With the EU stuff, you would have much luck if you really want to be out of your country. Yes, your uncle is the US, but I don't see how it makes you stuck to focuse on USA..

As far as I know, Greece qualifies for diversity visa lottery. So, if you have completed 12 years of education (have a high school diploma), apply here: dvlottery.state.gov
