My wife (of 1 wk) is in the US from the Philippines. We are now trying to apply to adjust her status. She had her medical in Hong Kong (she lived there prior to coming here). She was going to wait till she got here for her vaccinations. When she arrived at the airport here, customs kept her medical records (sealed envelope) but gave her back her x-rays. Were the medical records sent to our local office? Can the vaccinations be done by my doctor or county health dept. and transferred onto the I-693 supplement page?

Most applicants for adjustment of status are required to have a medical examination. The medical examination must be conducted by a civil surgeon who has been designated by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Yes, the medical records are part of her file and sent to the USCIS. The x-ray is hers to keep. Yes, the required vaccinations can be received at your family doctor or health dept. Take the records of her getting the vaccinations to a civil surgeon to have them transcribed onto an I-693. Check this thread to see if you can find a civil surgeon that knows how to deal with a K-1 and will do just the vaccinations. It is a long, ongoing thread and you might be able to find one near you in all that > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/231026-civil-surgeons-who-dont-rip-you-off/page-25

They did have a medical for their K-1. They stated it was done in Hong Kong in their post. Another medical is not required if filing for AOS within a year of the K-1 medical.
