Hi I was interviewed yesterday at USEM Manila. I was petitioned by my mother (LPR) with priority date of May 30, 2012.

The interview went well. The Filipina asked for a CENOMAR though. I did not have it. She made me sign a document that says I will lose my visa if I marry before entering US. She also told me that I have to get a new NBI because it will expire on Nov 20. She told me that someone will give instructions as to how to get it to them. I was confused because appointment letter says that I will only get a new NBI if my last NBI was accomplished more than a year ago. Anyway...

The interview with CO was fast. He just asked me my name, my mother's name, what she does for a living, how many siblings I have, how many siblings in the US, pending petition in the family. After that, he told me that I will be called in another window.

In the next window, the Filipino gave me my appointment letter with my queue number and a copy of the document I signed re marrying. He did not mentioned anything about getting a new NBI clearance. Then I submitted my 2Go form to another window. After that, they told me to go home and wait for my passport to be delivered.

I dont know if my visa was approved. The CO did not say it explicitly. I checked my CEAC status, it says "Ready" (for interview). It was updated on the same day as my interview.

I am worried because I am already 21. Although I am covered by CSPA. The CO did not even mention it and did not compute my age.

Do you think I was approved?

Hard reality is you need to have everything that is listed in the embassy instructions letter for the interview (even if you already sent it to NVC before). Seems the personal at the last window screwed up by not giving you the 221g with listed documents you need to send, doesn't mean you don't need them. You may want to email the embassy and ask on this so that you have a letter to give NBI as they will forward the new NBI to the embassy directly. I believe you will have to get the CENOMAR from NSO then take it to 2GO for delivery to the embassy.

The others before me were given NSO forms for CENOMAR. I think they did not give me the NSO form because the Filipina (second window) already made me sign a document. The document said that I will lose my visa privilege if I marry before I enter US port. The others who got an NSO form did not sign a document similar to mine.

As to the NBI clearance, my NBI is still valid. It will expire on Nov 20, 2014. So I was confused when the Filipina told me to get a new one. The appointment says that I will only submit a new one if my old one is expired at the time of my interview. If I understood it correctly.

Anyway you are right. I need to clarify it. I will just wait for Monday. Still hoping that when I check CEAC on Monday it will say "ISSUED." I've read in some forum that sometimes it takes time for them to issue the visa itself. Since I had my interview on a friday, still hoping that it will change in the coming week.

Thank you so much Hank.
