our case was transferred to NBC from TSC in early august.

at that time TSC posted 5 month processing time and our noa1 date was approaching the 6 month date.

once we got hardcopy I 797C it said "to speed up the process" but that was on Aug 8th. no timelines were provided.

we are still unable to get clarification as to why.

anyone else out there with a ir1/cr1 petition transfer to NBC?

seems like the NSC transfers to CSC "to speed up process" back in early july were acted upon quickly and noa2's came quickly.

your insights/help in understanding is appreciated.

happy weekend all!!!

Our case was transferred from NBC to NSC after 5.5 months "to speed up the process" as well (that was in March). It then took them another 30 days to approve our petition. So you might have your petition approved within the next few weeks. In case it is not and outside of the normal processing time, you can just file an e-request concerning your case: Here is the link to it: http://egov.uscis.gov/e-Request/Intro.do

Good luck!!

thanks for the reply. I am more interested in cases going to NBC and not from. you give me optimism though on the 30 days....monday marks

30 days!!! thanks also for the link...we've done that as well and have had 2 info pass appt....and still no insights, hence we turned here to vj for answers.

I'm specifically asking because there wasn't a backlog at TSC....so we don't get why our case was transferred in the first place. we're early feb filers and when our case was transferred they were already approving late feb filers.

on another note...NBC isn't processing I-130 any longer.....well at least it appears that way by looking at the USCIS website or at igor's list. so, we are wondering why NBC??? (instead of CSC who is processing I 130's and aren't back logged))

good luck to you as you await your CC.
