Hi Everyone!

Thank you for all the help along the way.

We had our interview yesterday and everything went well. I came prepared and forgot the most recent I94, however, it was okay.

They flagged us for an arbitrary reason and pulled us aside for separate interviews. I was terrified, not because I had something to hide, but because you have so much to lose and so much work had gone into the process. Anyways, after freaking out for forever I was asked simple questions like "how many people were at your wedding" "when did you first move in together" "Where did you last eat out" "What did you have for dinner last night".

The questions were easy so there was never a need for anxiety. I honestly felt so silly as the anxiety faded and I could just relax.

Our immigration officer was all about business and didn't really respond or talk much.

I will never forget crying when he told me it had all been approved. I felt like I could breathe again.

Thank you everyone for your help and support! Trust me, the interview isn't as scary as you think :)

7/18/2016 (Day 28) - Biometrics appointment done at Santa Ana ASC

2/28/2017 (Day 254) - Spouse received call from immigration officer verifying if we still lived together at our current address. He ended the conversation by saying we our approved and no need for interview

3/3/2017 (Day 257) - Received approval letter in the mail! 

3/13/2017 (Day 267) - Online status updated - new card being produced

3/16/2017 (Day 270) - Online status updated - new card was mailed to me

3/20/2017 (Day 274) - 10 year green card on hand!!

6/13/2017 - N-400 package sent via USPS Priority Mail Express

6/16/2017 - N-400 fee cashed

6/19/2017 - NOA date - Priority date 6/15/17

6/30/2017 - Received biometrics appointment letter in the mail for 7/12/17

7/5/2017 - Walked in Tustin ASC for biometrics 

8/10/2017 - Case is in line for interview

1/22/2018 - N-400 interview date scheduled 

1/26/2018 - Received N-400 interview letter in the mail! Interview scheduled on Feb. 28 

2/28/2018 - Naturalization interview - recommended for approval! :)

3/20/2018 - Oath taking ceremony :dance:

2014

June 20 - Married my soulmate (L)

June 24 - Sent AOS package via UPS

June 26 - Delivered to Chicago

July 1 - Text and email confirmation from USCIS, check cashed

July 7 - NOA1 letters

July 9 - Biometrics appointment letter for July 23

July 15 - Biometrics early walk-in at Varick Street, New York office

Aug 26 - EAD/AP approval! (60 days)

Sep 5 - Received EAD/AP combo card

2015

June 27 - Received welcome letter and Permanent Resident card together :goofy:

Next up... Removal of conditions - 2017!

Currently being patient and enjoying married life :wub:
