N-400 field office

Does anyone know if you get to chose your field office? Or do you have to go to the one in your state. I'm in TN and Memphis is farther away from me than GA and NC. NC also has the shortest interview times for n400

It is assigned to you depending on where you live. I live in Arkansas and was assigned Memphis even though there's a field office in Fort Smith.

That's what I thought, unfortunate. But you did get to chose where you did your biometric's though, right?

You don't get to choose where you do your biometrics. You will be sent a letter telling you where and when to go.

Many people have decided to go in early (on a date other than that specified). Many have been successful, but some have been asked to come back at their scheduled date and time. It depends on the office.

Likewise, some people have taken the letter and gone to a different office. Again, it depends on the office whether they'll let you in or not.

Some offices will allow you to change dates or locations without asking questions. Some will need a good reason and perhaps proof of a time conflict and some just won't let you do it.
