Did you apply for K3? Since your I130 was approved at the same time as the I129F, the I129F will be cancelled and the I130 will go to NVC for normal processing...seems to be around 3 - 4 months - then it will be forwarded to the Embassy in India.

You don't have a time line...so, we don't know what you're doing...please fill out your timeline.

Congrats and good luck!

Was your 130 sent to nvc and your k3 to the lusted consulate? I just received both notices. Does that mean my k3 did not get cancelled?

Hi Tavotevi,

Thanks, yeah my K3 did not get cancelled because my I-130 petition is still at VSC while my I-129F got approved by TSC and then it was sent to NVC first to get a case number assigned and immediately left to the embassy in Peru. I think it all depends when which one reaches first NVC. I wish you luck and hopefully they don't cancel yours and it gets process first :-)

Hi,

Wow, that is such a great news. yes, it seems that you can get a K3 visa for you spouse and it is much faster. Were you also able to get the case number for the I'129f? If you did you can see wether or not the embassy got it already and keep track of it at:

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

If the status says in transit it means it has not reached the embassy yet, if it says ready it means it reached the embassy.

I wish you good luck as this process will be much faster than the other one to get your love one here.

Please keep me updated and wish you the best :dancing:

Jorge

Hi

In my case both I-129F and I-130 have reached NVC and NVC had assigned case number for I-129F (Oct 6th). We thought they are going to process I-129F. When my husband called NVC again, they said they will cancel I-129F and it will take another 3 weeks or so to assign case number for I-130 :-( . I was hoping that they would process I-129F.

I-130 Sent : 2014-04-01

I-130 NOA1 : 2014-04-04

I-130 Approved : 2014-09-03

NVC Received :

I-129F Sent : 2014-04-14

I-129F NOA1 : 2014-04-19

I-129F Approved : 2014-09-03

Reached NVC : 2014-10-06

Case number for I-129F : 2014-10-06

Hi,

Wow, that is such a great news. yes, it seems that you can get a K3 visa for you spouse and it is much faster. Were you also able to get the case number for the I'129f? If you did you can see wether or not the embassy got it already and keep track of it at:

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

If the status says in transit it means it has not reached the embassy yet, if it says ready it means it reached the embassy.

I wish you good luck as this process will be much faster than the other one to get your love one here.

Please keep me updated and wish you the best :dancing:

Jorge

I didnt get a case # for the 129 they just told me it was sent to the embassy..should i call back to nvc? Or should i just call the embassy?? I hope i get good news this week! Im afraid to get my hopes up n think my husband will be here for the holidays!! Thank u for the nice wishes!!

You have to call the NVC to see I'd they have a case number for the I-129F and if it remained open.

Well that sucks if you were hoping for a k3 but pretty normal. The NVC has been speeding up.
